Saint Michael Shield Pewter Medal 1 1/4 Inch on 24 Inch Stainless Steel Chain Gift

I purchased three of these items I initially wrote a 5 star review but after a few weeks the clasp attached to the medal snapped off two of them. Pewter is a soft metal but the clasp should have lasted longer than that. The design is nice but the connecting clasp is too week to be functional.Very disappointed as they were gifts that I had engraved. Don't recommend....

The "plastic gift case" it arrived in was taped shut, because it was broken. As a whole, it looked like a cheap dollar store find. However, after checking out the pendant, I found the medal to be rather nice, and the chain appears to be sturdy. This Saint Michael medal is bit overpriced compared to similar pewter medals, with gift worthy packaging. This is to be part of a gift for my nephew. I will need to find a presentable box for this gift.

I love this pendant and wear it always. I had it blessed by my priest as well. It' affordable and it's nice to wear around your neck. Won't poke you like a crucifix. I got rid of the chain it comes with and put it on a silver one I had.

I purchased this for my son as a gift 2 years ago. It's a very nice medal on a sturdy slip over the head chain. After 2 years.. the chain is great but the medal corrodes and turns green if the wearer doesn't take it off for showering, swimming..etc. I am buying him a new one this Christmas and make sure it is stainless steel and not pewter. For the price it's great, just need to be careful about the pewter.

Worn daily and I LOVE this design but not that crazy over the chain it came on. Will be giving some away at Christmas to friends and family.
