This book was in excellent condition, the book touched on many of the aspects of building a sand rail/ dune buggy.I was surprised and delighted that there was a section with tips on rebuilding a vw air cooled engine; also there was a section on electrical wiring of a Dune Buggy, which will prove helpful with my project.

Great book and informative on the building process. Although a little old most of the VW based information is the same. A good investment for the vw based buggy builder and enthusiast.

I have been looking for this for a while

This is like the holy gracile for the buggy minded. The illustrations are outstanding and the text is so clearly written. A must for the buggy society.

This is an excellent book, goes into great detail and I'd recommend it to anyone building a go kart or buggy.

First the book appears as though the pages have been photocopied from another book. Very poor quality photos etc.Second the books prinicapal subject, that of building a buggy, actually concentrates more on the VW engine than anything else.This book will NOT teach you how to build a buggy, it will teach you how to take care of the engine and some of the structure for a VW.......You wont learn anything about the frame building or choice, you are expected to buy it already built !!!!!!!!This book describes a niche market of buggy building, VW..... Don't buy of you expect to learn the generics of building, this book does not provide that kind of information.I will keep the book in the hope that I will come across and old beetle that I can restore for which it would be far more usefull..
