Kotobukiya DC Universe: Batman Classic Costume Super Powers ArtFX+ Statue

There are so many good things going for this statue. Excellent sculpt, great color, and awesome price. Usually statues of this size run close to $100, but these Super Powers statues run about $30.00. You can't even get a loose Super Powers Batman for $30.00 these days!The sculpt looks great! They kept the original overall look of the Super Powers Batman figure, but they updated it for today's collectors The features are a little more defined and the cape is attached, so no losing it like so many of us did back in the day! They even kept the original joints. Since this is a statue, they don't move, but they surely look as if they could!The colors and paint are outstanding! They stayed true to the original color scheme, even down to using the same powder blue color for Batman's cape!I'm a huge Batman collector and I was only going to get this statue, but the quality of this statue has sold me on getting the entire series!

I cannot fault the price nor the design. They took some liberty with retooling each figure and IMO for the better. These figures are more 'real' versus the actual Kenner Super Power line which looked a tab 'bloated'. These figures are sleek & refined yet true to the José Luis García-López aesthetic. Kotobukiya's improvement upon the design and detail while still honoring the classic elements is why I didn't hesitate to pick up this first figure and will continue collecting the line. I really hope they expand the line with a second or third wave. I MUST get my hands on their version of Wonder Woman in the Super Powers line. I will more than likely still end up purchasing Gentle Giant's Super Powers line once they are out as those are exact replicas. There is definitely room on my shelf for both as these, as they are a huge part of my childhood.

Made to look like the Kenner Action Figures from the Super Powers line of 1980'sAmazing how this brings back so much nostalgia from your childhood.Detailed to even include the joints however this is a statue, so no articulation , limbs do not move.The only gripe I have is these should have included a magnetic base and magnets on the feet like the other DC ArtFX+ line.I bought the complete set to include Superman, Robin , Green Lantern and the Flash.Kotobukiya has announced for release this year 2016... Aquaman, Hawkman and Wonder Woman to complete the set.

Based on the Classic Super Powers Collection Figures, This Batman Adaptation is a Far Cry From Anything Especially the Original as I Guess They Tried to Make Him More Brooding But in Doing So His Face is Looking at the Ground, What to Speak of the Fact That the Face Design in General Just Looks Nothing Like & Bares No Resemblance at All to the Original & These Figures LITERALLY CAN NOT STAND UP ON THEIR OWN and these Figures ARE NOT POSE-ABLE At ALL !!!As the Figures Are Very Cheaply Made, Especially Considering the Price ... and if Your a Collector, Your Much Much Better Off Just Keeping it in the Box, as the Box Display is Nice, But the Figure Trustfully Leans Forward Far to Much & Just Has Alot of Issues & Trouble Standing On Its Own.Even with a Doll Stand Display, It Still Just Looks Rather Funny & Odd Like & So All I Can Say is That for This Amount of Money Your Just Much Much Better Off Investing in Some Better Quality Figures, I Thought They Would Be Super Cool But I Found That I Was Only Super Disappointed.- They Never Stand Up to Originals as unfortunately They Can't Even Stand Up Themselves !!! :)

I love this, I own him and the Superman statue. If I had to choose between the two, it would be Batman. They nailed my favorite version right here, Size (7") , paint and the quality are all perfect, Sculpting is spot-on..exactly what I had hoped for. Makes me want to own them all.
