Good quality
After watching a lot of reviews on these throw ropes I decided the Scottie was the one for me, not the cheapest but in my opinion certainly the best value for money that I have found, I think everybody who carries out an activity in or near the sea should carry one of these bags it may save your life or somebody else's, it's small enough to fit in the front pocket of my dry sack ready for action if needed all in all a great value product would definitely buy again or recommend to others.

A throw-line that comes in useful
As a resident boat owner on a canal, it's come in useful for rescuing the occasional pet, and a person or two who have left the towpath unvoluntarily. Useful on a kayak too.

Great quality for the price
The media could not be loaded. I am just getting into paddle boarding and Canadian law required the use of a whistle, PFD and Throw Bag when out on the water. This was the cheapest throw bag I could find to fulfill that requirement.Surprisingly enough, it feels very well built. Thick line, and even has a reflector built into it which is nice. The bag throws easily and in the video, I cover how to stuff the line back in and what the black strap is for.Was pleasantly surprised as it feels like a quality bag, I was expecting less.

NOT RECOMMENDED. Not a reliable safety product.
The bag was fairly inexpensive and looked good, initially. However, after 5 months of exposure to the sun on my boat, the product has become unusable. The drawstring that closes the bag is almost impossible to undo due to the deterioration of the material that makes the bag, which mean that it would a long time to open and throw the floating line in case of an emergency. Totally useless and dangerous, as it provides a false sense of security. Not recommended at all !

That’s my bag baby
Great quality. Nice throwable weight and quality line. Highly visible and sturdy bag material with quality snap close clasp.Update: to comment on negative reviews of the bag quality deteriorating around the clasp... i have had no issues with this. My bag has been hanging on a fishing boat deck for two summers but is kept out of the elements and is in almost new condition still except dor some colour fade. Allowing nylon or any material to get dirty , rot and get moldy doesnt speak to the quality of the bag. Always dry out the bag and contents after they are used or get wet.
