Microscope kit
This was sent quickly after ordering. I Microscope is very light and seems to be made of a plastic type material. It came with a lot of accessories such as knife-blade for dissecting (caution with kids it is sharp), premade slides, some blank slides and cover slips. The microscope functions work fine for kids just playing around with it. It is smaller than expected. The slides almost seem like they are created with a photo of what they are on the slide (almost like what you would think you are looking at under microscope but printed on a transparent paper then added to slide). Perhaps the microscope I had as a teen was a higher quality and. Or China made. This just didn’t hold up to my expectations. It does seem clear when looking at things under microscope. The price was overpriced for what item was. I just can’t justify the high price for a mediocre very entry level microscope for a child/teen.

Cute but just for play
This was cute and my kids loved it. It's kind of blurry even when you adjust it but good enough for play. I would get it for fun but not for like a homeschool lesson or anything. I like the empty slides because we can put other stuff on there to see it. We did a hair, plaque from a tooth, a wing of a dead fly, some dead skin and skin from garlic and onion. Gross but fascinating lol. It comes with lots of accessories! We did not attempt to grow the sea monkies or whatever those eggs were, so I can't comment on those.

COMPLETE JUNK! Does not live up to the claims or description!
I am completely baffled by this microscope. It's not my first time working with one, so I expected it to be easy-peasy. But instead, no matter which slide I place under the clips (even ones that I bought separately, everything looks the same. Honestly, it doesn't seem as though I am seeing any of the specimens. It seems more like I'm looking at stuff on my eyeball or the lense and whatever is stuck to it on trapped between layers, or whatever the case may be. I truly am not seeing anything beyond except for the light. I see things floating and when I squint, I see my own eyelashes reflected back at me. I cleaned everything that I could as far as the lens then said, "Ok, let's slide a piece of paper with very small print onto the stage and let's see if I can read it on the lowest setting," which was only a guess. I'll explain this in the next paragraph. So anyway, I looked and I could not see any words, not even blurry words. Not one single letter was discernible! What I saw looked like every other specimen that I've put on the stage, even though, with the naked eye, you can clearly see that they are all different. Not only that, but this claims to have six magnification settings, yet the turret makes only 3 stops. Everything in between those three is just blackness. So where are the 6 settings? The turret has 3 labels on it - 300x, 600x, and 1200x, yet none of those have an objective lens below them. Where the 3 objective lens are placed, none of them have any labels above them. Is this customary? This seems incomplete to me considering what it tells me I paid for. Neither the setup nor what I've been seeing visually makes any sense whatsoever. Plus, at times the light is way too bright and I fear it could cause harm to one's eyes. For the money, I didn't expect a top-of-the-line product, but when you claim that it's metal, as to imply that it is fully metal-constructed, outside of the glass, wires, and rubbery base cover, that is a dang lie! The only parts that are metal are the arm, the base, and the hardware. I'm extremely frustrated and let down by this product. I bought it for homeschooling projects and experiments with my 6-year-old. Yet, I've spent the last two days, trying to figure out why the damn thing doesn't work as it should, while she sits anxiously waiting to have a turn to see the cool things she was promised.
