I think this is a good buy.The treat consistency is like those chopped and pressed jerky treats you find at the gas station near the peanuts.Has a good smell when you open the bag, not too strong with the smoke smell.I had bought the previous version which was like dried chicken strips, those were probably overall a bit healthier, but they were sharp and crumbly at times and one of our hounds has problem digesting the really dry meat treats.This verison has some extra ingredients but the hounds dont seem to care.and others have said they contain sugar and other things, but the last two batches we received did not have anything like that. The most recent order arrived on 9/4/2018 and the ingredients are not what others are saying they are...photo proof in the images.Having 3 large dogs will burn through treats so I like buying in bulk. The 3 lb. bag is sufficient.I am pleased with the price and that they are made in the USA.We do not feed the dogs a huge amount of treats and we reinforce training and disipline with affection.I stand by the training motto of: "I don't always have treats, but I always have love."These pups are my life and I feel good about giving them this as a reward.PLUS how can I say no to those faces!PROS:• Good price• Large qauntity package• Treat size is substancial (4.25" x 1.25") Sometimes I scissor them in half to make the treats last longer. (the pups dont know)• Hound Approved!• USA made.CONS:• none---Thoughts & Tips---• The treat size is about 4.25" x 1.25" so I often cut them in half down the middle.• You could cut these up into thirds or smaller for training treats. They are soft and easy to cut with kitchen shears.• The recipe seems to be evolving in a healthier direction.

Jerky strips were about 2/3 the size I usually get when I buy them in the store. PUPs like them ok.

I buy these treats for the neighborhood dogs, and they all like them! They rarely have issues because it looks and smells just like soft jerky. And in my mind, it is nutrition for them. One dog, who doesn't have much of an appetite for any food lately, will always eat these, so I consider it a win!

Got the order and it was a 40 oz bag! :( Seller states that there was a mix up....I am not so sure about this excuse...I checked and it is still listed as 48 oz. I would HIGHLY recommend that you go to a different seller...you can get better prices than this for the 40 oz bags. I like the product, and so do my dogs, but I won't be buying from this seller again! :(UPDATE: I heard from the seller again and I believe they are trying to make this right, and this maybe a ligit mistake. So I am going to say that I'll retract the statement that I won't use this seller again and will wait and see if the description gets changed. My faith in them is being bolstered by their good customer service.

I have been cooking everything I could think of to entice my dog to eat. Medications didn’t work and she was eating a bit of peanut butter, nothing else. This duck jerky arrived today and she loves it! I am so happy to see her eating. I am not sharing any of it with the three others until I get some more..

Betsy Farms Natural Chicken Jerky Recipe Dog Treats, 48 oz  This is the fourth bag of this product that I purchased. My dogs absolutely love it! If you keep it sealed up, the jerky treats stay chewy and soft. I only give my dogs one piece every day just before bedtime but they know where the bag stays and beg for more every time I take them outside. These treats are very high quality treats and are made in the USA from American raised chickens so no worries about dangerous chemicals being added. There are also no wheat products added for dogs like mine that have allergies. This is the only treat that I buy for my 3 little ones.

My dog loves to eat and drink anything. We were very excited to find jerky that did not have chicken, since our dog is allergic to it. We were looking for a "high value" treat to help her deal with he anxiety in public. I read reviews about people saying the treats felt weird but ordered them anyway. They do feel weird-not like real jerky-but I don't mind. They are generally easy to tear and that's what I was hoping for. Unfortunately, my dog is not as hot about these as I thought.

The only thing I don't like, is they don't last very long. The dog eats them like candy, instead of staying occupied for a couple minutes with chewing, like the other jerky we get for him does. Then plus side is the price and the quantity and the quality. These smell good enough that I almost want to taste them almost.
