I previously bought a landscape painting from the Paint Pizzazz and was really happy with the quality of the packaging, paints, etc, so I decided to try his brand again.My kids (6 and 9) wanted to paint with me, so the beach scene was a nice combo of bright colors and seemed easier to manage as a family project. We did it over Thanksgiving break because what else is there to do after turkey and pie? 

The numbered sections and design are large enough for kids to do them with a bit of help. In some areas they did paint a bit beyond the lines, but the design is forgiving and you’d hardly know where the mistakes were unless you did a side by side comparison of the original :D My kids loved it, and it will be fun for them to see their artwork displayed.It’s cool that we can recreate an actual painting by a real artist (per the product details, the kit is sponsored by the actual artist. I don’t think I’ve seen that before in other kits and it feels good to know that I’m contributing a bit to the artist with my purchase. New things I noticed this time around - the packaging was slightly updated. The kit comes with a larger printed 'map' that shows the numbered sections, so you can refer back to it, if you (or your kids) accidentally paint over a section. Huzzah! Still has extra paints, rolled canvas with no creases, and brushes, etc.Would be a great Christmas gift for any age. For less than $20, the quality is top notch compared to other kits, and it’s literally hours of quiet entertainment. My kids are so proud of their masterpiece! :-)

I’ve done several of these, and this is the best paint by numbers kit that I’ve completed so far. Easy to read numbers printed on a high quality canvas. They included more than enough paints that were easy to apply and had great coverage. I wouldn’t say this is for beginners because some areas of the canvas were quite detailed, but my kids still wanted to help because they were mesmerized by all the vibrant colors. It made for a fun family activity, and the end result was amazing. Also, the packaging was much better than others I’ve seen, canvas rolled and not folded inside a very nice box. Highly recommend!

I absolutely enjoyed every minute of painting this canvas. It probably took me about 70 hours. Very relaxing. The numbers are very small to read, the box set comes with another paper copy of the picture also numbered so if you accidentally paint over a number you can easily refer to that picture for the numbers. set comes with 3 different size brushes, i do recommend using thin tipped brush for small areas. The paints are easily numbered, and there is enough paint provided to actually do a double coat in each area. I had a lot of paint left over. Once i started painted it was hard to stop. Highly recommend these canvases.

Kit arrived in time for Christmas. I would not recommend for an absolute beginner, but not so complicated that a patient beginner could accomplish it. Some of my paints were dried when I recieved it, but I have some other acrylics around and mixed those few colors so I could finish it. Given how inexpensive it was, easier to deal with it instead of going through the return and exchange process, at least that's how I saw it. All in all, pretty complete kit and canvas was rolled rather than folded like so many others, so it was easy to put on a board and start immediately. Thanks Amazon!

I wouldn’t recommend for a paint by numbers beginner. I purchased an extra fine tip brush which didn’t cost much. Some areas it was difficult to see the numbers. Because of the type of painting, it wasn’t that important to use the exact color. Very happy with how it came out.

Fun to do, PLENTY of paint fairly challengingOnly complaint would be the little birds could be a bit more definedI did have to kinda guess on the surfboards the numbers were teeny but still like it a lot

The #24 pot of paint is completely DRY and I can’t even get water to revive it. You get two pots of this color so with one completely dry I will not have enough to finish. Anyway that I can get another pod of this color?

Fantastic size. It is colorful meditation! It makes me feel like an artist. Picture is of painting still in progress. More than enough of each color paint included.
