Great for lineal foot measurements on plans with known and unknown scales. I typically use a digitizer and perform take-off on my computer but have used this with old prints and other times I didn't have electronic copies.BEWARE: it is all too easy to take off an entire job with the wrong scale. I know a painter who lost some serious $$ because he was in the wrong scale. Needless to say, he went back to the ruler scale.CONS: It will find areas of squares and rectangles. You will NOT be able to get the area of unique shapes with this.

I have been a civil engineer construction inspector for a total of 40 years now. 35 years with our local County and now five years in the private sector with several engineering firms. This instrument has been very helpful with me in the field. I can get a quick plan measurement without having to carry a 12 inch rule. Fits neatly in my pocket. Great new tool.

This CI 6025 unit is absolutley the best value on the market, and even in the uber-service environment we all expect, Tiger Supplies was unbelievable for ease of order and follow-up. I will actually look for them in the future to deal with.....Rock Solid!

I ordered this device for my husband to help him start his new HVAC business. As you know starting a business is though and not having the proper tools etc can make the situation stressful. It's a great tool to help manage material that is needed for each job and also helps keep us from giving out too much material that is not needed to the contractors. My husband loves it and he is so happy to have this tool in his life. It's definitely a great buy that will make great changes in our new HVAC business.

I can fly through prints as an estimator with this thing. The wheel is adjustable, I liked that. It has a bunch of different functions I'll never use and tons of scales. Really makes a huge difference when I'm measuring up walls and great for when things are curved. They sent me two extra batteries and an extra wheel. Wish I bought this a long time ago.

Item was as expected, we have several of these in the office they are a great time saver.
