KEENWomen's Targhee Vent Low Height Breathable Hiking Shoes

I was able to wear this right out of the box with no breaking in period. Arch support is good. Fit is spot on. Good for hiking uneven surfaces and through sand. Kept my feet dry.

This is probably my 10 pair of Keens in the last decade. I wear them ALL the time because I have plantar faciitus AND bunions AND wide feet. I have to wear orthodics in my shoes. Keen's are the only shoes I have found that will accommodate my problem feet. Keen's have a wide toe box so my toes are not getting smashed. I'm also an avid hiker and these shoes are excellent for trail hiking, walking and everyday wear. Break-in time is quick, they are comfortable right out of the box. I highly recommend them. My only complaint is the round shoe laces- they come untied frequently, but 99.8% of athletic shoe laces are round. I'm hoping flat shoe laces will become the norm someday. BTW, on the Keen website, these shoes are $144.00 so Amazon's price is a STEAL!!!

I have the men's version of this shoe. Once my wife saw them she wanted her own pair. So we got her these. The toe box is super wide which is nice for her due to some complications with her feet. This makes it comfy for but I am not sure it would be for everyone. The grip on the tread is great, they are Breathable yet they are water resistant. They are easy to put on thanks to the wide opening design and rhey tie up nice and firm. Only down fall I see is the way the tounge folds in can make the top of your foot a bit uncomfortable sometimes while they wear in.

I didn't even know about Keens a couple of years ago and now I don't want to wear anything else.I have had a long and awful list of foot and toe problems and these Keen's while not curing my badly healed injuries is making it possible for me to walk around comfortably.Here are my favorite features of Keen footwear;1. Narrower heels - I don't think my heels are abnormally narrow but I have too often ended up with shoes that I have to lace tighter and tighter to keep my heel from sliding up and down while walking. No more heel blisters for me.2. Sturdy laces and lace holes - I don't know if the technical term is lace holes, I really hope it isn't, but I'm referring to the openings that you thread shoelaces into and that I like how strong they are on these shoes. I have never worried that I am wearing away at the laces or the shoe by tightening my shoelace tying.3. Cushiony foot bed - I need something firm but with a little bouncy give. These are perfect. I am not having as much plantar fascitis pain in my heels and I am also able to take my shoes off without having a tickling muscle spasm on doing so.4. They are not as warm as my old skechers or sneakers and they have more breathability than my docs. My socks are still moist by the end of the day but not nearly as much inter toe sweat is happening.5. Plenty of room for my messed up toe. I never feel it bumping the top of the shoe as I walk.6. They still feel comfortable after a day of walking around.7. Pretty good arch support, I think in a few months I might buy some arch supports to insert but on the good side, these are roomy enough that I expect the arch supports will only add to the comfort of the shoe instead of making them too tight and uncomfortable to wear.

These are a great hiking shoe. Keen doesn't disappoint.

I love Keens! This shoe is not as sturdy as I was expecting. They are light and comfortable. I wore them out of the box for long walks with no issues. My only complaint is the heel. I was in a hurry, pushed my foot in without supporting the back. It squished down and now I have a significant ridge along the achilles on one shoe. I have only had them a couple of weeks. If you buy these loosen your laces and hold the back as you slide your foot in or you will regret it. (shoe horn) This is a very soft version of a hiker. My fault for rushing, but such is life.

Just what I ordered. I stand all night at work making Tesla and Corvette parts. The shoes are REAL important to me. THANK YOU

I would highly recommend them, for people who need sturdy shoes for walking, i.e. for those who have bad knees.I have been wearing this Keen shoes for 6 years for walking, and wouldn't wear any other brand.

My podiatrist also wears Keens and complimented me on y choice of Footwear. I have had a double knee replacement 12 years ago. I have to take care of my prothesis for they must last me out. Therefore I stick to Keens. They are without a doubt the best shoes I have ever worn. I am 85 years of age.
