PICTEK FULL SIZE MECHANICAL KEYBOARD

Spring Noise Blasts Away
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Very poor quality. Spring noise is louder than the clicking sound of mechanical keyboard itself. Layout feels unergonomic and awkward when typing or playing. For that price I had a MUCH better keyboard in 2018.

Very Good Value
The keyboard immediately struck me as solid and well made. The keys are very clearly marked (with the keyboard lights on - I need them, the room is dark) and they feel good - not loose and rattling like some, they still have the feel and sound that a good mechanical keyboard should have (bit of a clunk from the space bar - but not too intrusive). Despite the keyboard being compact in size, there is enough room for my big fingers when typing, and I find it better for games than some because the keys are close together. If you like that sort of thing, the different light settings for the keyboard are easily changed and will appeal to many. A plain white light for all keys would be handy for the more conservative, but you can't expect any more for this price. The price is its strong point - you really wouldn't expect to get this quality for this price. Well recommended.

Precise, positive action
I bought this keyboard for typing long documents. As a trained touch typist from the prehistoric days BC (Before Computers) I appreciate a keyboard with a precise, positive action. I can't abide those spongy rubber membrane types. I trained on a manual keyboard where you really had to thump the keys hard, and get it right first time - max 2% typos allowed, and then you had to fiddle about painting White fluid over the mistakes ... but I digress ...On the strength of the other reviews comparing this keyboard favourably with far more expensive models, I thought it was worth a try, and wasn't disappointed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this keyboard to any touch typist.Frankly, I could do without the colours; a White backlit keyboard would suffice, but it's a minor detail.

Too loud
From my personal view, and past experiences with other mechanical keyboards, this keyboard was way too loud for me to use, could hear it even with my headphones blasting music. On the other hand, the brightness of the LEDs and the option to change it around seemed fairly decent.I don’t think this product is worth the money, I would pay the extra couple of £’s for a more known brand.

No programmable keys
Keyboard is OK, it has no programmable keys, so this to me, makes it Not a gaming keyboard. It's quite noisy to type, especially early in the morning when everyone else is asleep in the house. The colours can be turned off, or the brightness changed. You cannot change the colour for a particular key (just vary its brightness). There are various modes, where for example a key stays light for a few seconds after striking it, these seemed mostly just a gimmick and not much use.Overall though, the keyboard works fine, its just the lack of programmable keys that I find annoying.

Its Great!
Whilst at first i was a bit hesitant to buy this keyboard, as it is fitted with default blue key caps.ITS IS THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY KEYBOARD I THINK THERE IS ON THE MARKETThere is no noticeable latency between key presses and writing, every LED is functioning perfectly and has a wide variety of modes. Each F1, F2, etc key has a secondary use, which is extremely useful, and the drainage system surprisingly works as intended (the first keyboard I've used where no damage was done after a spill, 10/10)Overall, for only £30, it is the best valued keyboard out there, and I highly recommend it, especially if you are a mechanical keyboard fan!

Excellent Value Keyboard
I needed a new keyboard, the old one had reached a point where it wasn't useable, and I needed to use it for work. So on to Amazon and something that could be here next day!I had been wanting a mechanical keyboard for some time, I wanted the sound and the definite feel of the key presses that they bring, but I was worried that at my price point I wouldn't be able to get something that was any good.....turns out I was wrong about that. This keyboard feels great to type on, to the point where there has been a definite improvement in my accuracy and I am actually enjoying typing! The sound is there and the feel is good, the keys are where they are supposed to be and it just feels solid to type on!The lit keys are a nice function that I wasn't really looking for. I would agree with a number of other comments that just a solid white would be nice, but at this price I definitely can't complain or with-hold stars for it. In fact with the options available I have found one that suits me where the key that I press lights and and then fades after a few seconds. The option is, of course, there to turn the lights off, but I think I will come to use them even more when it gets darker in the evenings and I find myself typing at night more. The illumination of common game keys will be useful for gaming too.It also comes with what I assume to be a key removal tool although it's not something that I think I will need.Overall an excellent keyboard that I can highly recommend.
