Exactly what I wanted. We plan to use this insert periodically, so we chose the manual version although the other types with various remotes seemed pretty interesting. We had the person who installed the gas line connect the burner. Since he had problems with other types of inserts, he didn't want to mess with the log placement part of the install, so I did the placement. In reality, it was pretty easy. The logs have notches and have fixed places to match up. You can sort of see from the photo that the front log notches set into the bottom of the front grate, the rear is similar. The logs are clearly numbered (molded in the log) and the directions are clear on the log placement. I was initially a little confused about the "burning embers" which are located front and below the logs, but I figured it out. Watching videos about log sets and seeing the poor quality of other vendors and the materials they use, I appreciate these. Solid materials. Well made.I like the flame it produces. Fully adjustable.

Nice log set. Placement of the logs in the fireplace wasn't perfect as the manual control shaft abuts my gas line. Only I would know that its off center by a half inch so visually its fine. The logs were also not a perfect fit to the burner frame, but I found that the metal log supports could be bent slightly to better fit the log notches and also shift the logs just a tad to avoid flame impingement. Flexible gas line was connected from factory and happened to be long enough to reach the gas line with a couple of elbows from the hardware store.

It looks exactly like the picture. I was able to paint the interior of my fireplace with heat resistant black paint it's elegant. I've owned several Natural gas logs but these are the prettiest I've seen.

I had these professionally installed so I cannot speak to ease of installation. Overall, very pleased with these logs. They heat up my family room nicely. I like the variable flame. I misread that it was a manual light pilot, but that’s my fault so I didn’t remove any stars for my review.

Logs are beautiful but unlike alot of the reviews i could not install them. i had 3 ppl come out to my house an they couldnt do it either. i ended up hiring a professional that works for a company that actually sells gas logs and he was able to do it. They came in tons of pieces. it was not just set the in and go. But now that they are finally installed they are lovely and i am very happy with them.

The media could not be loaded.  I like the look. I’ll like it even more when the weather turns cool and I’m able to use it more.

Was very easy to setup and install. After a few months of use I can say that its working great, have had no issues, puts out a good amount of heat, and looks awesome. Highly recommend

i found it very difficult to place the logs in a way that the flame did not touch, even the plumber i had for the installation complained.
