Our Standard Olde Tyme Big Timber Swing is made from reclaimed heart pine that was once used as flooring in an old grain mill that was built back in the 1890's, so this wood is over 120 years old. The wood would be best described as a Groove and Goove (think of tongue and groove, except no tongue). The boards were held in place by a wooden slat (which I guess back in that day served and the tongue) and nails. Each piece has its' own unique character and each piece is definitely a one of a kind original...So go ahead and buy a piece of history while you reclaim the ritual of daydreaming on a summer's day. This swing comes with 15' of real 3/4" manila rope on each side as well as (2) 5/8" rope clamps. Reclaimed pine wood finished with 100% pure teak/danish oil Swing is 28" wide Seat width will range from 6 3/4" to 7 1/2" Wood thickness will range from 2.75" to 4" thick Real 3/4" Rope is 15' long and can hold up to 695 lbs.
