Product Description An ultra light-weight cap which is ideal for endurance sports where athletes need protection from the sun as well as breathability and wicking features. The longer peak with dark underside protects the eyes from the sun’s glare whilst the bamboo charcoal particles in the Vapour-X fabric help protect from UV rays whilst wicking away sweat. Added to this, the internal terry towling band keeps sweat away from the eyes. The two-layer fabric is incredibly soft and supply making it extremely comfortable and the adjustable size strap allows a perfect fit – circumference is approx 57cm . This product includes reflective piping which helps make the athlete more visible, particularly useful for night time or winter training. Box Contains Crewroom Vapour-X Microlight cap

Rowing, running... perfect for it all!
I first bought this hat in 2012, because my uni rowing team wanted us to have hats and this was the one we picked. We chose white with a yellow flash. Given the price of it (less than 20 GBP), I thought it wouldn't last and that I'd end up replacing it soon enough.Dear reader, I could not have been more wrong if I tried! 9 years later, I had to replace it only because I lost it when travelling! This time I got myself a pink one :( I was upset to have lost it because my yellow hat has been with me through so much:- rowing training (minimum 5 outings a week) for 4 years- rowing races (at least 6) over 4 years- running training (pretty much every time I go out running) - since 2015- road racing - to date I've worn it for 12 road races. It's amazing. The peak is long enough that it keeps the sun out of your face (unless you're running in the evening, then nothing will). There's a nice little lining of towel material around the band which keeps sweat out of your eyes (one of the main reasons I always run with a hat). My new hat even has a black underside to the peak, which I really like because it means it'll reduce the brightness! The fit is perfect for me - it's a stretchier material, moisture-wicking, breathable, and it's so easy to tighten/loosen. I find it really easy to pop my headphones over the top too because the material is thin enough, and the outside band isn't too bulky.I really, REALLY love this hat - and I hope my yellow one is at my parents' place because I'm at this point emotionally attached to it and I feel like we've been through too much together!

Just add sunglasses and everyone will think you row!
This is, first and foremost, a rowing cap, and that's really where it shines. It's pretty resilient to being dunked in a river where other caps would get ruined. The peak is waterproof, doesn't deform, and it seems to float. Obviously the fit and shape are honed to being used in a rowing capacity, and for that reason it's actually very comfortable worn reversed to protect the neck on a hot summer's day. I imagine it's also excellent for other sports such as jogging as it's lightweight and the mesh wicks away sweat very effectively. I wear mine for rowing and occasionally sailing and for these applications it's by far the best cap available. For other sports some of the features which push up the price, especially the water-resistant peak, may well be wasted, and I can see that there might be better value caps available, but as someone who does rowing first and other sports second, this cap is an excellent all-rounder.If you are a rower, it's just worth checking with your club first that there isn't a club colours/logo version of this cap available directly through Crewroom. Just add a pair of oversized sports sunglasses and a lycra unisuit to complete the full rower look!

I have a large head and a lot of hair and I find it hard to keep caps on... this review will be most useful for similar people
What ever brand I have tried, I need to clip caps on with hair crocodiles to keep them on. I bought this cap because I'd lost my Ron Hill and I hoped it would fit a little deeper near my ears, but the Ron Hill is deeper.Having said that, if you find caps stay on you without a problem, which most people seem to, then this cap has a nice feel, it is comfortable and has a good long peak and I would recommend it.I replaced the Ron Hill but I have kept this one and use it when there is no wind.

Fell apart after a few washes.
Was pleased at first, lovely lightweight cap for work but after a few washes the fabric came apart on the peak and hung down so I had to bin it, wouldn't buy this brand again.
