Real Sugar Cola Syrup - Small-Batch Craft Soda from Oak Cliff Beverage Works - 12 pack

Slightly more than half the amount of sugar compared to the popular brands. Tastes cleaner compared to them, but it won't satisfy sugar addicts who are used to bingeing on store sodas for their sugar content. Adding a squirt of lemon and lime juices changes the flavor from what the label looks like to the flavor of their best competitor. It does contain some benzoate preservative, the taste of which is far less strong than soda from a commercial bottling plant. Soda Stream jars have a fill line on them. If you fill to the line with water, add fizz, and then fill the soda stream jar up from the Cane Cola soda bottle (slowly to avoid fizz-over), it's the right amount without measuring the syrup, which makes me wonder if soda stream machines and bottles are really made for this brand, rather than their own flavors. I figure costs to total somewhere around 50 cents a liter including the soda stream carbonation cost. It's cheaper and healthier, after the initial soda stream machine purchase, than buying soda at the store, and it tastes cleaner and better. It has caffeine about the same as its competition, judging by the kick it gives.

It's real sugar without the high fructose corn syrup. I already bought it again and will probably buy it again when I get close to running out.

I tried quite a few different "cola" syrups when I first got my SodaStream. I can't stand the SodaStream brand syrup, because it's made with sucralose. That's not close enough to sugar for me, I can taste the difference. The only other good syrup manufacturer I've found is Monin, and only if Oak Cliff doesn't have enough flavors for you. I still very much prefer Oak Cliff to Monin, though, and when I have bought Monin syrup, I still mixed it with the Oak Cliff syrup. Oak Cliff syrup also doesn't cause a fizz explosion out of the bottle when you add it in, like other brands can sometimes (cough, cough, Monin) I've been drinking this cola exclusively (besides iced coffee) for going on 2 years now and I can't say enough good about it. I order by the 12 pack every few months and enjoy delicious, fresh, real cane sugar soda daily. The customer service is also top notch. If a bottle arrives leaking or with the seal broken, one message will get you a replacement sent out right away. You couldn't ask for better people to deal with on Amazon, I've never been treated better by a seller. I would highly recommend, especially if you're looking for natural sugar options and delicious soda you can make fresh at home!

This syrup is simply AMAZING! When high fructose corn syrup took over the industry all sodas lost their appeal to me, they just don't taste "right" and have a different mouthfeel. A year ago or so I got a SodaStream and tried most of the competitors syrups before finding this brand. WOW! It is so delightful! The cola brought me back to the old fountain shop I would go to in the 60's! I recommend visiting their website and reading their story. Phenomenal product, fabulous company! This tastes so much better than any other cola syrup for the soda stream. I'm pretty sure no one would ever buy either of the big name colas again if everyone tried this one!

This has consistently been my favorite Cola syrup for the past couple years. I was buying the 4-pack, but was going through it too often. I started purchasing the 12-pack to save a couple bucks as well. Hopefully Oak Cliff doesn’t ever mess with their recipe because I love this stuff.

Their Classic Cane Sugar Soda Syrup tastes great. Mix it w their sprite or finer ale and it all tastes great.
