I was persuaded to but this unit by the salesguy in Autozone and they dont even stock it (or didnt at this MA location)! He said he uses it and loves it. I took his advice and bought it on Amazon, even thought its relatively expensive compared to some other chargers. Its worth every penny! It can charge up to four batteries at once, clearly indicates (via LED lights) where it is at in the charging process, will not over charge and then (the best bit) keeps the batteries at peak charge, all the time, automatically. I am using it to charge two RV batteries and a yard tractor battery over winter. I love it. I literally just attached the batteries and walked away knowing they will be in great shape this spring. Got tired of lead acid batteries in my Ryobi riding mower. Swapped them out with some LiPo batteries and used the disconnecting leads here to keep the batteries easily ready to charge after mowing. I just connect the leads back together to charge, disconnect and store under the seat when in use. Zero issues, and it's nice not only to see battery level and status, but also to be sure they're being kept in the best possible health when charging.

Ordered this charger on prime day and finally installed it 4 days ago and everything seemed to be working well. However 2 days later port 3 is now flashing that the unit is under temperature and cannot operate. Emailed support and they say that it sounds like the unit is faulty to send it to them under warranty replacement. Kinda a little miffed that after 3 days my brand new unit needs to be replaced but at least support was fast to respond. Hopefully they are as fast to send me a replacement unit and not the 4 to 6 weeks they quoted. This unit comes with a 3 year warranty so hopefully this will not be a repeated occurance. Unfortunately because I delayed setting it up I am outside of Amazon's return/replace window. I have another charger by this company and have not had an issue with it so hopefully it's just bad luck, but only time will tell. I was impressed with the overall build of this unit and the accessories included with it but apparently something under the hood is less than optimal.Update 1: Reached out to NOCO support and they're responce was quick and efficient with an RMA claim paper. Just have to pay for shipping, which was 30 dollars to ship to the factory in AZ. So far my prime day purchase has not been the stellar deal it was supposed to be. I would have hoped that the company would have provided some means of shipment to them for a discounted rate but no dice. More updates to come.Update 2/11/23 new unit has performed as advertised and shows no signs of quitting. Despite initial unit failing new unit has been great and does a great job of keeping my motorcycle batteries up to speed.

This is a great product works awesome. I have my four motorcycles charging keeps my battery lasting longer. I will get more for my vehicles and land mower.

This battery charger helps me keep my lawn mowers running it is also very easy too hook up to you equipment for charging which helps to keep my battery life longer. I've found the quality of the charger to be of good value and safe to use because as it charges the indicator light let's you know the level of charge it has reached. Great lighting.

Full disclosure, we use other Noco chargers onboard our school buses at our kid's school. They are very robust and keep the dual 12V commercial batteries fresh when the buses are not in use. I got this one for my motorcycle fleet(?) at home. Yes, the charger is more expensive than several similar. It's worth it. I've used Battery Tenders, and many others over the years. The Noco is best.The leads for the battery are not the standard SAE version. Noco uses a heavier duty connection that clicks into place. The alligator clips are designed to be removed if you need to permanently install a lead on your vehicle's battery inside your car. The unit comes with clear instructions. If you are upgrading for an existing SAE configuration, get the Noco-SAE adapter ($16 at this time). Just search in Amazon "NOCO GC009 X-Connect SAE Adapter Accessory Genius Smart Battery Chargers" .

The manual states the 2X4 charger can "maintain" any size battery, it's that simple. The 40Ah limit has to do with charging. The more a battery goes over the 40Ah rating and also, the lower a battery's state of charge, then the greater the chance of getting an error message. My 2x4 is maintaining 4 - 100Ah batteries. Placed all on the charger in a high state of charge and within 24 hours, had 4 solid green LED's indicating an optimized charge. Awesome!The packaging is not the best where mother earth is concerned. Its includes 4 different national power cords so use 1 that's needed and trash the other 3, that is a disgusting waste of copper and the energy used to manufacture and transport. The manual appears to cover every known world language so its heavy for its size and again a waste of material and energy so really, why not have a paper manual for the 4 most spoken languages; English, Spanish, Mandarin (Chinese), and Hindi (Indian) and have the rest available on line. Packaging has foam where corrugated cardboard would suffice so, it would be great if they could make that change. On the plus side, the cords and clamps are bound with twist ties versus in plastic bags. Lastly, I like the charger!

I had the 2-bank version which is awesome, but when we added another vehicle (street bike) to the collection, we needed another outlet. So, I purchased the 4-bank version which is also fantastic. I would recommend you get the NOCO GC009 X-Connect SAE adapters for quick connections to the battery. Pricy, but worth it.
