The media could not be loaded.  This tactical pen was purchased as a great gift for my daughter since she is now going out more on her own at 17. Teens today do not want to carry anything but their phone. So for extra protection and to use this as an opportunity to teach her how to use the multiple items and functions available on the two items that are included in this box set.First the item comes in an elegant black box with Silver metallic letters and font. The foam inside is cut to fit the two tactical items along with spare batteries and ink refills. No assembly required, the pen is loaded with ink and batteries.The pen is a solid aircraft metal grade pen that could be used for self defense with pressure points.The knife or flat scissor on the square tool was sharp upon arrival.All the items and functions are described on the included information cards. The simple way to know where to unscrew the pen to access a tool is by using the 1/4 grip textured bands. This makes quick work for finding and using the specific tool.

I could not be happier overall. Purchased for glass break/ink pen features. The whistle and flashlight are the best features. The ink pen refill is so small that this is best for someone who won't often use the pen. It comes with 3 tiny pen refills, so almost what a full size pen would be. Also extra flashlight batteries. I have not looked into cost/availability of ink/battery refills. I got it for myself and the pink color closed the sale for me. There is a square do-it-all device that looks workable. I have not tested the bottle opener or square device so cannot say how strong they are with use. It all looks/feels sturdy. Purchased on sale so no complaints! Update: Have used this for several months. The flashlight was perfect when I lost power a few nights back, used the pen for notes during an unexpected class and just tightened drawer screws in my bureau. Will give these as gifts for Christmas. No searching for a tool. It's all there.

He can use it in his job as it will be very handy.
