This was the exact product I used to issue to soldiers when I was in the army. We would use the about to expire cans for certification courses. Even after experiencing hundreds of temperature changes over two years, this stuff is still completely effective as a deterrent. This WILL incapacitate an attacker. I have personally had this sprayed in my face multiple times, and every single time was absolute misery. 5/5 would not recommend being sprayed with this stuff.Side note, this stuff is so powerful, I could always tell when a soldier "tested" their can from the other room. I would end up in a coughing fit and yelling at the genius who thought it was a great idea.

Here are the dimensions of the 3 oz canister:6-1/2 inches tall1-1/2 inches wideI considered the next smallest size, but this one actually fits just fine in my loose (mens) sweatpants or shorts for walks around the neighborhood and concerns about loose dogs. I was worried the smaller one could run out too quickly as well.Reviews say police departments are issued this brand, so that seems like a good enough endorsement for me. I can’t speak to the quality because I haven’t used it but wanted to report the dimensions because I couldn’t find accurate dimensions online.

Don't be a sitting duck!! This is the best for adding anxiety and confusion to any bad guy's attempt. It's got a scary noisy visible spray that totally changes the calculus of an attack. Don't worry about running out, either. Use first, ask questions later. Yes it's too big. So, don't try to hide it! Keep in your hand in ANY transitional space: walking to your car, in the park, or while getting gas!This is the best size for giving you peace of mind.

Carried this on my duty belt yeas ago. This was the only product my department issued to its field officers. Many instances where it was used effectively to stop officer assaults. I trust it and carry it still even though I've long since retired.
