๐ Good product. Super fast delivery!!
Some simple assembly is required, but it's very easy. It's a good cane - especially for the price. However, at its maximum extension of just under 43 inches, it is not really tall enough to be a good hiking stick for a 6 ft. tall guy like myself. But it is a perfectly satisfactory cane and great to have around.๐๐๐Super, super fast delivery!!!๐๐๐I ordered the cane on Friday afternoon; it arrived Saturday ... approx 24 hrs!!

Sturdy construction; wrong color item received; "flasher" is merely reflective tape.
Item was received on time, but the wrong color was shipped (ordered blue, got red). Construction is fairly sturdy, though extending the poles can get a little tricky as the spring-loaded shocks in each segment will make it difficult if you pull those segments out too far (and need to re-insert it). I was also disappointed in the misleading terminology and pictures indicating a "flasher" on the pole; I assumed that it was an LED strobe of some sort, but it's merely reflective tape, nothing flashing about it.I'm a 6' male using this to assist with my fibromyalgia, and it definitely feels sturdier and is more compact than anything I've used in the past. I especially like the easy transition from hiking pole/walking stick to the more weight-supportive cane function by just switching where you're holding it. An LED of some sort instead of reflective tape would've been much better in terms of safety, but for the price of the item (and at the sake of reducing it's effective weight load by having to use plastic/glass in the LED), I understand the reasoning behind using the reflective tape, however I do not think it serves a very useful purpose. The tape on my item was also already peeling off at the edge a bit, and I keep pressing it back down to keep it from peeling off entirely. I also think the user should change the terminology used on the item description and pictures to indicate that the tape does NOT flash, and is simply reflective tape. While I like the item, I can't bring myself to give it higher than a 3-star rating due to the wrong color error and the misleading "flasher" terminology.

Handy for travel and having limited space
It takes a bit of patience and practice to assemble the cane (the very small sheet of directions is too brief and should have more pictures to assist one in assembly -- and I doubt it was written by a person whose first language is English). But once you get it together it works fine.Like a telescope the cane will reduce to about 20 inches and can be extended to about 48 inches. It's sturdy, the cane handle is comfortable in the hand and it will support your full weight PROVIDED you tighten top and bottom sections tightly -- if this is hard to do get someone to do it for you. Overall it works well and will pack into a small suitcase; you can also carry in a small nylon bag provided and will slip onto a shoulder. Has extra tips for use in hard ground or soft ground or snow.

This walking stick is good and helpful
This walking stick is good and helpful. The grip is very comfortable, and adjustable length works for both me and my daughter. My daughter likes to pick wood sticks as a hiking pole before during our hiking. Now she just hold this walking stick and didnโt want to give back to me, since itโs so fun, even has light on.

Very flimsy.
Went for a little hike and used this walking stick for the first time. I had it put together correctly and unfortunately it is flimsy. The bottom extension is the worst. You can look straight down the stick and the bottom section bows out some at the connection because itโs not got enough to connect to. Iโm very disappointed with these. They certainly wonโt last long if I use them on every hike.

Great for a walking stick, not so much as a cane.
I liked the versatility of using it as a cane or a walking stick. That being said, using it as a cane without the rubber tip on it (I was using it on sand) is challenging. The point is so small it doesn't give nearly as much support. The cane handle is NOT padded like the handhold for walking stick use and I ended up bruising my hand pretty badly. I expect I can solve that with some foam pipe insulation, though. The stick has a spring in it, which took a little getting used to but not terribly long. I'm sure there is a good reason for it. However, it worked for what I needed and was hoping to get. Good price and fast delivery.

Fantastic but
I have purchased these polls before. They are fabulous except for the height changing mechanism which wears out with use. However, if you love hiking but your aging knees and feet have made downhills a form of torture these polls are well worth replacing every couple of seasons. The cane-like handles are much more functional for my wrists and allow me to transfer a great deal of my weight form my knees to my arms on downhills. I could not continue to hike if not for these poles. I thought I had ordered two. I ordered another.
