Where have you been all my life???
I wanted to actually do the whole "unpacking" video thing but..I suck at that so. But as my heading states, "where have you been"?? I've spent years lifting up 5 gallon buckets of clean water to change up my tanks...I've tried hand pumps, they don't have the lift required, I've tried battery op...same, I even sprung for a not cheap electric model that promised it would lift my clean water 10ft in the air if that's what would trip my trigger. nope. But this little guy! Holy cow. Super quiet, I love the adjustable flow knob and in the best of ways...this thing sucks! I picked up about 8' of plastic tubing/hose, a clamp, and I opted for a multi-outlet with a switch on it so I could more easily turn it "on and off" from the tankside. It is SUPER slick and I am seriously ticked I hadn't done this earlier!

Good but..
This pump is not meant for heavy duty work. I bought the 15W and it has trouble pumping water through a 50 ft hose with much pressure. Overal the filter does its job and wors great, just not enough power in the 15W for a 50ft hose line.

Best pump I have ever used
I bought two different sizes of these water pumps, the small 265 and the 550 or something ( got that one first from Amazon warehouse). After using the first one, I had to have another pump so I went with what works. I LOVE this brand. Not using for aquarium, instead they pump yuck water out of places it shouldn't be. The biggest advantage is they pump from the bottom, unlike most others that leave 3. Or 4 inches of water in bucket, these pump it all- from a 19 gal tub, water left behind is less than a quarter cup. That's amazing and appreciated bc 4 inches of water in a 19 gal tub is still a lot of water to move manually. Plus, the water being pumped is greasy, chunky lol, and very often hot. Really hot. All the things you're supposed to avoid, which is why I went warehouse. Just sayin'. Auto shutoff works flawlessly. Speed isn't really an issue for me, but these pump with enough force to actually create a spray like you can do with a garden hose. Not quite as forceful, but awesome nonetheless. Absolutely cannot find a singlething complain about. Highly recommend this brand.

Decent product but not a good fit
So I have 2 half wine barrels that I stack on top of each other than creat a nice water feature. They holds about 50 gallons of water. Our old pump shorted out when we had a sudden power outaged so we went for this as a replacement. It's a nice product and it definitely cleared up our pond in one day after a few days of uncirculated water. However, this thing would not sit at the bottom. It kept trying to float to the top so we ended up weighing it down with a brick. Another note is that this pump isn't strong enough to get a decent waterfall. Mind you, I wasn't expected a full waterfall but this pump is barely splashing over the side.I plan on purchasing a stronger pump from the same brand and hopefully the bigger size would mean I don't have to add a brick on top.

Broke within a month x2
This worked great until it suddenly just stopped after about a month. I was using it about once a week.I was hoping it would be closer to the bottom so it could get more water out. It leaves about half an inch, so too much to just clean out with a towel. But gets most of the water out. I have a feeling this would be the same with other pumps but this is my first one so I’m not sure. There is no on and off switch. It turns on when plugged in and turns off when unplugged. I wish it had a switch. I don’t like being near water and plugging and unplugging things into a socket.I did not spend time troubleshooting. It was cheap, so I just bought another one to try while working on fixing this one. (Same item). I was disappointed it didn’t last longer.Update: Second one also broke even faster. I’ve purchased another brand. With the latest one I bought a mesh bag that goes around it to make sure only water goes in. Maybe that’s what this one needed as well but it’s not stated. I don’t know if this was the cause of mine not working. I didn’t see anything inside.

Little fire engine
This sucker pumps water like a sum bch, quiet as all hell, usually use it to change saltwater in my reef tank, mix salt etc, sump pump blew up and used this as a back up for a few days until I could get a new one and this thing was amazing. Best value for the money. Sacred to use it long term but definitely moves water.

You get what you pay for.
The price was reasonable but if you plan to use it for aquarium maintenance like I do you need to know a few things. It clogs easy and stops pumping. You need to watch it closely and avoid anything that could be sucked into the impeller. Jam city - which then means a timely process of removing four screws (in plastic, how long before the guard cracks from the screws?) then the guard in the middle of your job, making a stressful job worse. This is an engineering failure big time. I would return it if the time it took would equal a meaningful time investment with Amazon for a better product along the same price point but alas they are all the same. If you want better you need to pay more. I will do this once this one finally breaks.
