No more dirty looks!
this collar is a little expensive but well worth the price. i have a dog that does not like other dogs and loves to chase cats! i got so tired of people giving me dirty looks and telling me that the regular prong collar i WAS using was "cruel" to the dog. people who do not have a problem dog, do not understand! a trainer once told me to "distract him with treats". when should i do that, trainer? while he's yanking my arm off or while i'm face-planted on the asphalt/sidewalk? this collar is so wonderful! it comes in different sizes. my dog has a 19" neck but i ordered the 24" so i could fit it to my liking. didn't want it exactly at 19" cause i felt it was too tight. one problem: it is not easy to add or remove the links. the instructions make it look easy but it is not. i used a pair of pliers. u can also order extra links if needed. the best thing about this collar is that it looks like a regular collar :) Herm Sprenger Neck Tech Training Collar Black 24"Herm Sprenger Neck Tech Training Collar Black 24"

Works great.
An all round quality piece. I’ve used it on other high strung dogs with great results.

I like this collar better because it doesn't irritate his skin
When my Boerboel outgrew his traditional Herm Sprenger collar that his trainer bought for him, I bought this collar in hopes that it would be as effective and it has been. I like this collar better because it doesn't irritate his skin like the traditional prong collar did, which may have been my lack of keeping it sized right and not taking it off at night. I have realized that a dogs collar, no matter what kind you use, needs to come off sometimes and bedtime makes the most sense if they're a puppy or an active adult. MAX will be nine months old in a couple of days and I've just ordered a couple of extra links....He's gonna be a big boy! No matter what kind of collar you use, I really recommend learning how/when to use corrections and leaving the collar off a few hours at night or ANYTIME you have them in a kennel unsupervised. I also like this collar because it has the benefits of a prong but it looks like a regular collar.

Great tool: Updated
10/13/20: So Daisy the Olde English Rescue has been successfully adopted for probably 9 months now. Just saw the owner yesterday actually and she continues to be a model citizen with a great life and a loving family. After she left I started using this collar for my 6 year old American Bulldog Lola when she is out in public so I have more control over her. She’s an extremely well behaved dog with people it is more to keep her from attempting to get a pet from everyone in line at Home Depot than for anything training related. It is very effective on those rare times I need it to be. Lola hates wearing anything that is even slightly uncomfortable. She doesn’t mind this collar at all even with the spikes turned in, and then, if she requires redirection, the response is quick and we’re back to doing whatever it is we are doing. This has meant a real improvement in her quality of life because she gets to go on more car rides to more places since any of my kids can now handle her leash if I am occupied with a shopping cart or something. And Lola loves car rides and walking around new places as much as a dog can love anything that isn’t family or food. It’s her favorite activity. If you know how stubborn bull dogs can be you know how a dog standing in the middle of a busy store aisle who has suddenly decided she likes it there could be a problem without a touch of encouragement.Great product for bully breeds.Original Review: Ordered this to supplement E-Collar training for a very energetic 2 year old Olde English Bulldog rescue. Immediate end to the worst of her pulling while leashed, and I can safely have other members of my family take her out to the bathroom and for walks.

good overall product but corrections aren't too great
I got this product as I wanted a discreet prong collar for my doberman.I really liked the design and the materials its made out of. Its a strong collar, only problem is that the prongs on it are small, this is a really gentle prong collar. I think he outgrew this thing as he is able to pull me with it if he is absolutely interested in something. My corrections get him to look at me but I don't think he feels them much. He feels more of my body language towards him.He is only 8 months old and already outgrew this collar.Only buy if you have a low tolerance dog.
