I Was Glad That I was Carded
I did not know what to expect when these cards were ordered, but to my surprise, they are excellent. They are firm and accept ink well from an Officejet Printer. They were very easy to print onto but to break the card out from the perforated edges on all four sides.

so thin you can see/read pencil and ink from other side
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I don't like these. They are way too thin. They are thicker then basic copier/printer paper, but less then card stock. As you can see, I used pencil, pen, and two sharpies on one side and you can clearly read and see all from the back side. My photo's might be a tad dark, but trust me, anyone could easily read what's on it.I would recommend them for shopping lists and scratch paper. I wouldn't get these to make flash cards either as the guesser could see the answer through them, lol. I wouldn't recommend them for a true, index card, type file/flip through use either. They are so thin that after a couple flip throughs you'll probably tear a corner. No way you can use these for kids crafts as glue and markers goes right through them.

Really thin and flimsy
These are very thin for index cards. They're probably too thin for most traditional uses. I'm trying to think of what they'd be good for. They'd be good for scratch paper, but they're really too thick for that. Maybe something you need a *little bit* of heft for, but not permanent or long-lasting. These really aren't much thicker than heavy typing paper. You can clearly see through them.I didn't really have a specific use in mind when I got these; I just thought, oh, index cards, those are handy to have on hand! So I'm not devastated by their thinness. I'm just *certain* these are perfect for something. But really consider your intended purpose before getting these. If you've thought, "Hmm, I really hate to waste good index cards on this project when they're just going to get thrown away soon after," you might be onto something here.

Really Thin Budget Index Cards
I use a lot of index cards for taking notes, organizing ideas, recipes, etc. - so I thought I would give these AmazonBasics a try. After using a couple dozen over the last few days, I can safely say that - overall - they're pretty nice. They're made out of good quality paper, have consistent color and texture, and very evenly/consistently cut to the same size and shape. The only drawback I've found is that they're really thin for index cards, only slightly thicker than normal printer paper. When I tried writing notes on both sides using a gel pen (Pilot G2 0.7mm), there was slight but noticeable - and very annoying - bleed-through of the ink. These index cards are also probably little too thin to hold up well as a high-use index or recipe file.If these aren't issues for you, then these AmazonBasics index cards should be a real bargain for you.If they are, then you should probably consider purchasing a different brand.Tip: If you like folding origami, or have thought about trying it (there are lots of great tutorials online these days), these cards are just about the right weight of paper - light enough to still be easy to fold crisply/precisely, but heavy enough to hold a shape well.
