Purchased to test popcorn ceiling for asbestos
I ordered this test kit to be sure we don't have asbestos in our popcorn ceiling before I start scraping it off. It was pretty easy to obtain the sample, though the chain of custody form was a bit confusing to fill out (in my opinion). I both emailed and called the company for help with the form, but got no response, so I did the best I could and sent it in. I got the email with my results in about 8 business days from the day I mailed off the sample, so overall I am happy with the product.

Good kit with Clear Instructions
We purchased this to check an area in our home that I was worried about. It had clear instructions on how to get the sample and send it in. It was returned relatively quickly. I would definitely recommend it and purchase it again if the need arose.

Super easy. However, you could probably just do this with a Ziploc bag and some gloves then mail it to a lab. The best thing about this is the convenience and speed of receiving results.

Not Worth It
This is literally just a ziplock bag and some gloves in a box with a form and the shipping label. You are mostly prepaying for the lab test service.The report we got back did not indicate the concentration level. Our contractor took one look at it and said they had never seen one that didn't include that and that he wouldn't accept it and had to have another one done.You'll do better if you just call up a local asbestos person/contractor and ask them who they use to test. Buy yourself a Ziploc bag, some gloves and a mask and send it off yourself. I did just this for our second test, and the local test lab we used charged half of what this kit costs. Their report was also more thorough.
