Durable cover and size would be great for raised beds. I gave 4 stars for ease of use because I struggled to handle that size alone in covering my plants. Really needed help.7

I purchased this for use in growing a special crop next year but already have it in use this year, covering my salad greens (growing in containers). We've had a couple mornings where the temperatures hovered around the freezing point, but the crop cover has prevented damage to my greens. I remove it during warmer days and cover the crops again when a frost or freeze is possible. I'd like to harvest my fresh salad greens as long as possible and this crop cover might get me through until a really hard freeze hits my area.

Its hard to know what to say about this. The crop cover went over the hoop house easily and fast. It stayed on for all three days and never blew away, but the plants still died. The problem was that these were not cold hardy plants (tomatoes, eggplants, peppers) and it just stayed too cold for too long. Without a heat source under the cover (which might have worked), the ground eventually gave up all of its heat and the plants couldn't survive. It was a rare occurrence, being that cold for that long, and I can't blame the loss on the row cover. I believe that if it had only lasted for one night (or if they were different types of plants) the story would have a happy ending. On two other occasions it did keep frost off of them, so I guess that it does everything that it is supposed to do. Next time I'll combine it with a small heat source.

I bought this as a sun shade for my greens. It’s very thin but absolutely massive. Was able to cut for different areas. I’m not sure about the freeze but so far held up for sun.

Frost cloth is very large and easy to cut to size. The poles are not easy to work with. You need strong/durable edging if you want to use the poles to create a round top for the poles to stay in place. Without garden edging or bricks to keep poles in place in the ground, the poles straighten and come out of the ground. Poles are complex to work with and require additional tools to use effectively.

This product may work to project your plants from the sun in the summer, but for freezing weather it did not protect my plants. Maybe I misread something, however , the material is very thin almost like flexible paper.

I bought 7 of the plant covers right before the historic snowstorm in Texas. They shipped out the products very quickly and I received them before the hard freeze coming in. Plants with 3-4 layers coverage were doing fine in 10F o solid freeze. I am very happy with their products and service.

September 21, 2020I ordered 2 pkgs of these covers for myself and my daughter to protect flowers and vegetables. Two weeks ago we had a cold front with freezing temps and snow, in the Denver metro area. They worked wonderfully, my flowers survived and my daughter’s veggies did too. She still has pumpkins and tomatoes, almost ready to harvest. I highly recommend this product.
