Dragon Ball Z - 4:3 Steelbook - Season 3

Love that the Steelbook Blu-Ray presents DBZ in it's original broadcast format of 4:3 instead of the Orange Brick 16:9 format

The reason why I bought this not because I’m a dragon dragon ball Sure yeah that’s part of it but I love the fact that it is now in a steel book form

These are the same discs, even the same packaging as the previous two 16:9 Blu-ray releases from Funimation, just with a new logo on the spine. They're cropped to widescreen, the grain has been scrubbed, and some of the footage is defocused. Save your money if you've already bought the Funimation versions, the Crunchyroll version isn't any better. If you're looking for Dragon Ball Z in HD, the 30th Anniversary edition and steelbooks are around the same price as these are, and if you want to save a buck, the Funimation Seasons and the Wal-Mart triple-packs of the Funimation Blu-rays are FAR cheaper than a full set of these. The Amazon Exclusive Complete Series box-set is also, literally, less than half the price of buying all of these.

I have waited for a set like this for a long time, if you are here you know the story. lets get to it. Picture once again is cristal clear, colors are rich and beatiful. Looks amazing. The aspect ratio is 4:3, the way is meant to be. Is not perfect but for me is better than the widescreen version. NO ENGLISH subtitles for the american broadcast or Spanish audio.
