3 inch rings are a huge disappointment ** bake your eggs in a muffin top pan!
I really wanted to love these 3 inch rings as they are the perfect size for cooking eggs for biscuits and english muffins (as opposed to the 4 inch rings I already have). There are 2 major problems with these rings. The first is that the handles are so loose that they won't stay vertical when you're cooking and they flop down flat on the cooking service. This is worse than no handle at all because the metal stems get hot pretty quickly. The second problem is that no matter what I do, the egg leaks out from under the ring. When cooking whole eggs (Egg McMuffin style) it's not an option to dip the rings first as the egg isn't beaten. I've sprayed them and preheated them -- nothing works short of immediately pressing down the edges of the ring until the egg has set up a little. This is not a good technique around a hot frying pan and I've gotten burned fingers as a result. My other 4 inch rings don't have this problem with leakage, so I think it has something to do with the height of the egg creating more pressure on the silicone ring. These are the only 3 inch silicone rings I've been able to find, so I guess I'll continue using them and grumbling about these 2 issues.UPDATE: I tried for quite a while to get these to work for me, but no luck, so they're being donated to the thrift store. For my English muffin breakfast sandwiches, I started baking the eggs in my muffin top pan. The "nonstick" metal muffin top pans still stick quite a bit, so I ordered the Freshware SM-116RD 6 Cavity Silicone pan and it is PERFECT. You just have to be sure that you place the silicone pan on a baking sheet to reinforce it. Cleans like a dream.

Trial and error, but still great!
I really like these, but I do admit I wasted about six eggs trying to get the right technique. Here's what I learned so you don't have waste like I did.1. Make sure your skillet is hot. I set my stove to 5 or 4. If your skillet isn't hot enough the egg will run out from under the rings.2. The thicker side of the rings are the sides you set on the pan. I dipped the thick sides in egg before setting in the pan, it created a little bit of a seal. This also helped keeping the eggs inside the ring.3. If I wanted to do a McDonald's style egg used in their bfast sandwiches I would do all of the above. Pour the egg in slowly to allow it to cook as pouring, once the egg is in the ring, I break the yolk with a fork or knife. You will still get some run off, but very minimal. Very easy once I figured out my best method.I am using these to make bfast sandwiches for the week. The 3 inch size is perfect for an English muffins or mini bagel.Best of luck and have fun with it!

Exceeded expectations.
I ordered 4" rings from another company and these 3" rings from Sunsella. I gave these 5 stars based not only on the quality of the product, but the attention to detail of the company. Before they'd even arrived I received an email from the company, through Amazon, with an extensive list of tips on how to get the best results whether cooking eggs or pancakes. Having read descriptions and reviews for many different egg rings, I figured it would take awhile to learn to use them effectively. The info given by the company allowed me to get acceptable results my first time, although I've gotten better since. The other seller's rings came with no instructions at all, were packaged in only a plastic bag, and I had to tighten the handle on one of them with pliers before I could use it. Each of my Sunsella rings had a styrofoam insert to protect its shape and then the 3 of them were in a sturdy cardboard box for additional protection. Basic instructions were also printed on the box. Needless to say, the next time I need a kitchen gadget, I'm going to check first to see if this company offers it. Very pleased!

and rub my finger around the inside to give them a nice coat. Once the first side of the egg ...
These work as expected. First direct heat, silicone, kitchen tool I have ever used (behind the curve on this - I know). There was no plasticy odor at all when they were in the pan. Usually pour my oil in while the pan heats, set these in the oil for a sec, take them out, and rub my finger around the inside to give them a nice coat. Once the first side of the egg is done, use the easy handle to lift away, and you're set. Never had them stick, deform, or anything. I mostly hand wash since they are easy but have thrown them in the top rack when I am feeling lazy.

Eggs separate from the ring quite easily, especially if you use a small silicone spatula ...
After trying metal egg rings and putting up with sticking egg and peeling paint we decided to try these. We use them almost every day and just ordered another set. We coat the inside surface with a thin coat of butter, make sure the thick edge is down against the pan, and that it is seated flat against the pan. If you have a pan with a sloped edge move the ring in towards the center so that it sits flat. Then when you crack the egg into it don't aggressively dump it into the ring because the impact can force some egg under the ring causing it to leak. Just pour the egg out of the shell into the ring and it will go well. Eggs separate from the ring quite easily, especially if you use a small silicone spatula to run around the inside edge as you lift the ring slightly. Clean up is easy.

Works well (though the eggs take longer to cook)
Ring worked as advertised and better than I anticipated. As an egg ring, the eggs take a little longer to cook than I expected, probably because the egg stands much taller in the ring than if the ring were not used. I found that after the egg hardens on the bottom, you can even lift the egg off the pan using a spatchula remove the ring and place the ring back into the pan and (carefully) turn the egg over and place it back into the ring and cook the other (raw) side.

Just tried these for the first time and they worked ...
Just tried these for the first time and they worked well - a word of advice: If you are going to turn the eggs then do so while you still see liquid whites at the top! The egg had formed well long before I turned it so I had some burn on the bottom. It is cooked sooner than it looks from the top.Only complaint is I'd prefer to have a set of 4 - to do breakfast for my wife and myself I need to buy two boxes.

Helps making those Egg McMuffins
Perfect size for making Egg McMuffins. Works fairly well although some of the egg white does leak out around the edges where it meets the pan. The only clean up hassle is if any cooking stuff ends up in/around the flip up handle. It can be a slight pain to remove the handle to get that area clean
