This book is an excellent source for any aspiring jazz musician at any level as it goes from the basics through the advanced information necessary to be a promising jazz musician. I've read tons of material out on jazz but this book is a practical approach plus you have the added audio access to tons of songs with simple arrangements one can jam along with and get ideas for intros and endings. I can't say enough about this book set. Larry Dunlap is not only a respected jazz musician but educator as well. Five stars!!!
