Best Iron Tablet Around
Slow fe is great - it was recommended by my doctor and it's the only one that I can use that won't upset my tummy. And believe me, I've tried a bunch. I'm so happy that I found it on amazon & I get free shipping w/ my prime. Yeehaw!

Novartis Slow Fe is not being manufactured by Novartis
Novartis is producing Slow FE Iron supplement again, my latest purchase from Walgreens has a 10/16 expiration date. 60 tablets cost approximately $30.00. Discount coupons are available on the Slow Fe website. It is about time.

HORRID STOMACH KILLER
Nothing gentle about this product at all. It is a typical oral iron product and it never lets your GI track forget it. I was hoping that slow release would make a difference but it did not. Still favor Bifera Iron Supplement Tablets 30 tablets over all other iron products but even it causes constipation. At least no stomach pain with Bifera however.

Expensive, but they get the job done
I recently found out I was anemic and was told to take Slow Fe twice a day. I purchased this product on Amazon with Amazon Prime and was a little off-put by the price, despite receiving my free shipping. Later I found out I could get a bottle with 2x the amount of pills from my local pharmacy (generic pharmacy brand), and the cost was even less than what I paid on here. It's definitely a good product as I started feeling a difference in my symptoms after taking it for a week, but the price is quite high. If you need to be on these pills for a long period of time, definitely check the generics at your pharmacy first.

Beware of Expiration Date!
I purchased and received my 30-tablet pack of Slow Fe in AUGUST 2011. When I opened it, I noticed the tablets were white instead of the maroon color that is the color of the Slow Fe tablets I most recently purchased from my local drugstore. I thought I had mistakenly purchased the wrong item and as I was examining the packaging to confirm whether I did, I noticed that the expiration date was SEPTEMBER 2011. I didn't want to deal with the hassle and time delay of trying to return or exchange it, so I kept it. I should have read the other customer review warning to check the expiration date. I also should have clued-in to the seller name "Liquidation" something or other. Just beware that the expiration date on the product you receive may be approaching MUCH sooner than you want or expect. I almost gave it ONE star, but I have used Slow Fe previously and the product as I have used & received it from my local drugstores is fine (so I gave it two stars). REVIEW UPDATE: After I submitted a comment on this issue to the seller (via Amazon.com's "Leave Seller Feedback") and wrote this review, the seller emailed me and apologized for the inconvenience and refunded my purchase price on the product.

It works
I have angiodysplasia of the small bowel and without iron I'd probably be anemic. I'm not, so this product which I've taken since 2010 works well. I don't get nauseated if I take it with food.

Used with Prenatals
Used these as a supplement to my gummy prenatal vitamins, as they did not have iron in them. I was very sensitive to vitamins and these worked great and didn't make me sick.
