The wire is thin so please be mindful of that as other reviewers have noted. Hung them up along my little back porch. Which was really easy. Then planted the solar panels in a sunny spot and waited. Checked on them throughout the day and was concerned as they weren’t turning on BUT waited till the sun went down and the sprung to life. Troubleshooting tip! If your lights are fully charged and not turning on, make sure there is some slack in your wires. That happened to me as I had stuck it in the ground too far away. Our house is 200 years old so keep that in mind when viewing the video. These lights are cute and easy to install and SOLAR!!! Might dress up our tree with these next. L

1) These lights are best for jumbling into a clear container. Not recommended for those with the intent to string them anywhere ~ unless you have The Patience of Job. The nearly hair thin wires absolutely love to get tangled and in trying to string them anywhere you will invent new cuss words I'd wager.2) The modes switch has a distinctive click and you can cycle through whichever setting -- however you need some time with each setting operating to guess what you've "chosen" -- good luck figuring out which is the steady-on....3) The on/off switch in both sets does not have a distinctive click -- so you push multiple times to get it to respond.4) No directions.

Got these to put in backyard trees. They look fantastic! Each string has a lot of lights so you don't need a lot. Be advised though, it will take careful work to put them up. Since the wire is so thin, it can tangle easily. But once you figure out a method, they go on easy. Just make sure the solar square is facing the sun and you'll have a beatuful display. Totally recommend

The best that I can say is that the light work. But there are a bunch of 'buts.' The thin little wires and tiny light blobs tangled inextricably the minute I started distributing them among the branches of a Japanese maple on my terrace. They were really hard to control but I eventually conquered them. The control is supposed to let you choose steady, blinking or intermittent lights. All I could get were intermittent blinks, which I hope are not annoying the neighbors on the next terrace. But the big surprise (and not a good one) is that the lights are BLUE. BRIGHT TACKY BLUE. I was expecting refined white lights. It's going to take hours to untangle or cut these things from the branches, but it's really too cold to tackle the job now. So for now my tree looks like the blue-face aliens have landed.

Colored fairy lights!!! This just upped the neighborhood level of keeping up with the Jones’! We all put up lights in our bushes to make it seem always magical but they’re all white ones! This took it to a new level! I have a feeling these will be the new thing. They’re gorgeous and packaged great so I had no trouble with tangling!!

Arrived without instructions and already powered when turned on. The lights are multi colored with multiple function settings (fade, flicker, etc.). They did not come with a white option, which I didn't notice in the product description. Colors are bright at night. Hubby thinks they look like christmas lights, so we will rethink the tree I put them on for summer. The neighbor sent me a message and said he likes them. All in all, good. Wish they had white though so will have to order another set for that. They do also have an on/off switch. Not sure why.

These lights are adorable!!! They work great and I love how twinkling they are. We have them in our backyard and it makes the backups much more welcoming and beaut! Get them!!! Highly recommended!

I enjoy these lights. So far, they have lasted thru snow, wind, rain, and sun. I have them outside around my trees for about two months. But you have to go slow and be patient because they are very fine and can tangle so easily. They have tangled up on me already, but I would say its better to wrap them around a piece of cardboard or a spool before you try to put them around a tree otherwise if you are impatient you might be tempted like my husband to want to pull, yank, or rip or cut them to remove them and just buy a new set.
