CapezioCanvas Dance Sneaker

Great shoe for teaching dance! No pain! Good arch and heel support.
The media could not be loaded. SO THANKFUL to have found this shoe! With the laces, you can choose how tight you'd like the fit. I teach 20+ dance classes per week and these have saved my feet! I am normally a very consistent "9", but the 9.5 fit me perfect. The sizing reviews were all over the place so I order three different sizes and ending up keeping the 9.5. I can still perform chainés and pirouettes safely without twerking my knees. I can also still "pointe my toes" while teaching/demonstrating. The tip of the shoe is squared off which is also very cute and helping for teaching pointe (although I do not go up on pointe in theses shoes). They are very lightweight and breathable too. I usually wear them with a pair of thin socks. I have been teaching with them for about a month and I think they are a great shoe! Highly recommend.

True to Size…
Love these shoes! I use for Urban/Soul Line dancing. I wear a 10 ordered 1/2 size up and returned, not enough toe room. I expected 1/2 size larger to work, felt like a 10. I think they run true to size.I ordered Size 11 which felt like a 1/2 size larger….No break end, felt good!😁

Great dance sneaker
I am a dance instructor and needed a pair of dance sneakers for teaching so my feet don’t get sore from hours of teaching in jazz or ballet shoes. It recommended to go up a half size but I did not feel this was needed. I wear a size 9 in sneakers and bought a 9.5. I could have easily bought a 9 and they would have fit perfectly. I have wide feet and the width fit nicely. Arch support is great. They allow for pointing the foot nicely. These are perfect for pirouettes and turns as they allow for less grip than regular tennis shoes. I wore these to perform a finale in our recital and they were so comfortable and function great on a stage. They are canvas so they do get hot if worn for long periods of time. Most dance sneakers are hideous but I chose these as they were not too bulky or flashy, and they look great on! All in all a great dance shoe! My coworker ended up ordering the same pair after trying mine out!

Best, most comfy dance sneaks EVER
Contra dancer here!! First, DO SIZE UP 1/2 size. Capezio has been known forever as undersizing their shoes. They have gotten much better in recent years, but still, most of us wear actual socks in our dance sneaks. Plus, after dancing an hour or so, your feet WILL expand and spread a bit. That said, these sneaks are really the best I've ever had, and I've tried ALL the other brands. Not only do they look slimmer on your feet (the others tend to make your feet and ankles look larger than that are, due to all their padding), but the lacing system really pulls the whole shoe firmly around your foot no matter your foot shape, while still being soft enough material to let your foot move and spread naturally. They are well-padded and surprisingly comfy! I always have to install extra padded insoles because my feet always hurt (high arches+dancing = major ball of foot pain). With these, I did not have to. The soles are a perfect mix of slippy for spins and grippy for everything else. Best part: no rubber toe-cap around the top/front of the toe box, so your toes will not be jamming into that hard thing every time you move forward. How many toenails have you bruised, damaged or lost? Hard-plastic-toe-caps be gone!! Ok, I've just convinced myself to go buy a 2nd pair... go get yours!

Absolutely awful!
I wear a street 11 Men's US. My feet are a little wider than medium but otherwise pretty normal. I'm one of those lucky people that usually has no trouble fitting shoes. I can get by fine with a little large, a little small, a little tight across the instep. Doesn't bother me. I got these in a 13 and the fit seemed snugger than I would prefer in a street shoe but right for dancing. They were a bit tight around the instep but I figured that would stretch soon enough. I took them dancing and for the first time in my life I experienced the agony of ill fitting shoes. The ball of my foot seemed to be behind the front sole (the soles are two separate pieces). After just a few minutes, my feet hurt, my hips were aching and I had back pain. I've never had this kind of experience before. I am fit and athletic without any kind of joint problems and I can't ever remember a pair of shoes causing this much pain. Most other people love these shoes so I dunno what happened here. As I said, my feet are not abnormal. Perhaps this was a defective pair, though I don't see how the problem could be remedied without a design change. Perhaps just the size 13 is not well thought out, possibly using the same sole as a size 12? I don't know. This was my experience and it sucked.

Perfect for a ballet teacher
My daughter wears a street shoe 9 and bought these shoes in a size 8.5. They fit perfectly. My daughter paid full price for a new pair of shoes and got a pair of used shoes, so be aware of that. If they had been new, they would have been beautiful, supportive, good quality, lightweight and perfect for a ballet teacher.
