I got this for my guy who is 6feet and 260ish. I measured around his waist based on the length listed in the item description area so I would know where the end would hang on his frame. Overall, he was a size larger then normal BUT the kilt fit him well and he could sit/stand/bend/move without it being overly sight OR look like a mini shirt on him. Great sewing, buckles and pocket sizes. Overall, price was a bit higher then some BUT hands down better quality.

I wore this to a formal attire gala instead of suit and tie because I do not like wearing suits especially with a tie... while other men wore a suit and tie, I stood out wearing a lace shirt with this kilt. Women loved it and the gay men I flirted with found it very attractive, even straight men complimented me on my choice of attire.

This order was my second one for this kilt. The first one I ordered according to their instructions and my careful measurement, and it was too small. ORDER BIGGER! Plus, it would also be nice to be able to order shorter. I had to hem this sucker up a good four inches it was so long. (even tho these fellows standardize an inch shorter than their competition!). I guess their models are tall skinny guys?Otherwise, a good value for the price. Buckles seem a bit cheap, but are serviceable. Snaps are heavy, well embedded, and work well, but again, it'd be nice had they included a few other sets on either side to allow for a smaller or larger fit. I'd pay as much as ten bucks more for those extra sets of snaps.

Great look and feel. Comfortable fabric. Good length. I measured my stomach and would have been a little better fit to get one size lower than I measured. Has two belt straps that can adjust but I’m already at the tightest setting.

I ordered this kilt, and another similar one from a different brand. The other has already been returned.It fits well, and is comfortable, while standing. However, it had no give around the waist, so sitting can be a little uncomfortable for someone with a bit of a belly...My only concern is the longevity of the tartan material in the pleats, it already looks like the holes in the seams from the needle and thread are stretching out. Hopefully it doesn't fall apart on me, because, as the title states: I love this kilt.

This kilt is VERY well made, I love it. I had to re-order it because the sizing is criminally undersized. I started with my actual waist size and it was comically small. I then ordered 3 sizes over my actual size and it was still a little tight. I would order about 4 sizes above your actual waist size to have a good chance of fitting. (So if you wear a 34 inch, you'd need to order the 40 or 42 inch from this company)

My usual size 32 was at least 3 inches too small for this kilt. When it is on, you see mostly black, very little tartan. It is very well made, came immediately, and if it had been a 32 as it is supposed to be, would have hung very nicely. Sadly it is going back and I will look for one that is more visibly tartan. Well made piece, especially for the price, just size way way up, and be sure you are ok with as much black as there is, more than the photos indicate.
