Historically we had always used an in-ear thermometer for taking temperatures but unfortunately my youngest daughter would always want to hold said thermometer or not sit still long enough to take the temperature reading. Therefore, at the boss' insistence I purchased this IR thermometer.The accuracy is probably not 100% as there is an airgap between the thermometer and the target and I have no control to test it against, but the indicative temperatures are good enough. The colour response of the reading is also very good as it allows the operator to understand it the temperature is good (green), too low (blue), slightly high (yellow) or high (red).It is extremely easy to use, as it is basically point at your target and pull the trigger. As it doesn't get within reach for the daughter to grab it, it's better than the in-ear thermometer.

Thank you. It has just stopped my dogs temperature from climbing. I tried it on a person. Then my dogs ears It flashed red on my dog. So I rang the vet who advised me to give paracetamol and to put a fan on her. Thank you 🙏
