I am using this collar as a means of distraction for my dog when she is about to get herself into trouble, and it works great.I like that I can control the strength of the vibration and shock. Although I seldom use the shock option.I tested the shock on myself, and found it to feel like the impuse of a Tens device (electric stimulation device for rehab) I was able to choose a strength that I considered annoying and not painful.The shock hasn't been used much, as the vibration is more than enough of a distraction to break my dogs focus to get her to refocus on me. My dog has a habit of barking persistently and she does not respond to my voice. Here the beep or vibration was enough. I have to stress in my opinion, this shouldn't be used as a form of punishment, but more as a distraction when a bad behavior is seen. I use it like a remote controlled version of the "shakey can".I find this better than a traditional bark collar, as you have greater control over when and how distraction can be delivered. The only thing to keep in mind is that this collar does not deliver any beep, vibration, or shock automatically. There is no sound sensor to trigger it. It is completely controlled by the remote.If used correctly, this devise can be utilized as a dog training aid. Please remember these types of collars are not meant to be used as a form of punishment. Dogs should be trained with positive reinforcement.I also like the option to control two separate collars off of one remote, and this is my second remote, as I have two dogs and wanted the ability to work with both of them.As far as construction, this remote is an upgrade from the previous collar I bought, the materials feel a little more light weight, and I question how rugged it is.However, The collar is truly waterproof! My dogs spend hours in the pool with them on, and absolutely no issues.

I really like this training dog collar. It has 2 collars to choose from and one reflects like which is such a nice option, there is back up supplies in the box which I find to be excellent customer service. The remote is easy to use. It has a sound option, vibrate option, and “shock” option which is tried it on myself and it isn’t going to cause harm it just gets their attention. There is an adjustment circular controller to adjust the level that is used which you have to press down to change and that is a great idea because then it doesn’t get accidentally bumped to a different setting. It has an on/off switch on both the collar and the remote and a charger included that works for both to charge them. I used this with my stubborn bernedoodle and he actually responds to just the sound option. It works really well in short or long distances that I tried so far. I think this is a great but for the money! I would buy again

Needed a training aid for our pomeranian who likes to chase cars when he is outside doing his business. We saw this collar on Amazon and liked the price. Operation is simple and did exactly what we needed it to do. Because of the training collar, our dog will probably live a longer life. Good product, good price, highly recommended it for anyone needing a little extra help with a stubborn dog.

There is much about this training color that makes sense. It is simple, it is easy to operate, and you certainly cannot beat the price. Unfortunately, I've had to return mine for two reasons:First, although I could easily confirm that the collar produced an electric shock using my own fingers and the handy little tester provided, I was not able to depend on the shock reaching my dog's skin. I think this is because she has such thick fur that the electrode simply could not penetrate it.Second, on two separate occasions, the flimsy plastic clasp that holds the collar (and you must use their collar) came loose. The first time I simply held on to her collar and ended up with an empty collar in my hand because the clasp gave way. The second time was much more problematic, because the collar came loose while she was alone deep in the woods, and I spent the better part of a day struggling to figure out where it might be. I don't want to do that again.

I waited over a week to write this review so i could properly evaluate this product. As an animal lover, I am opposed to "shocking" a dog for training purposes. That said, when I learned that this training collar offers vibration and sound as an alternative to shock as well as adjustable knob to increase/decrease intensity, i decided to give this product a try. First impressions, easy to setup, includes a cable that charges both the transmitter and the collar module. It is important to note that the transmitter is not water proof but the collar module is. It took about 44 mins to fully charge both. I didn't have to read the instructions as everything was self explanatory.I mainly use this specifically the vibration or sound feature to train my puppy how to sit, hand shake and lie down. The way it works is I click the button and then give my dog a treat if he follows the commands. So far he is making good progress. In the past I had used a clicker. While it worked, its not as effective as training collars. To prevent discomfort, I never leave the collar on 24/7. At one point I forgot to turn off the device before storing. To my surprise, it was not dead when I went to retrieve it 5 days later. So it is safe to assume to battery lasts at least 4 days.Overall , I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend this to friends and family who own a dog.
