I bought this to use with my sony camera and it works perfectly fine. clear glass and lots of room for your tablet to read from.

This is truly a great piece of gear for the money. I chose this based on another review. there are many lousey teleprompter for sale. this one is great for the money. no complaint for view field, or reflection, and picture comes out great. fits a standard 10" Tablet to use prompt apps. does not fit large 12" iPad . easily attached to Sled and camera easily attached to unit. all standard screw threads. rubber coating keeps camera snug. and there's about 5" of practical movement forward when using cameras of different lengths. the velvet cover fits snugly to avoid reflection from behind gkass. glass angles are adjustable and spring lockable.only complaint is the tablet holder screws that lock the sliders. needs more thread. only 2 turns and they pop out. they work but it can be a nuisance with them popping out. a smaller thread may be the answer. the intent is for screw to remain flush with bottom of unit when screwed in , so longer length isn't plausible.

I am a girl and I put it together in about an hour of twisting and turning it every direction lol but it works!!! If you’re naively think that the whole concept is easy think again: It takes just as many takes to get in sync as if you would free-styling it for your video and the jury is out for me. Definitely use the controller app because talking at a constant speed is ridiculous. It either feels excruciatingly slow or too fast, and I tried a few apps. The controller really helps BUT!!! They made the progress “forward” arrow so tiny that I find myself missing it, while a stupid start button that I don’t need cover the whole screen. So sometimes I’m sitting there blindly tapping that tiny button like a maniac / my finger hurts already and I still haven’t managed to hit the button...This isn’t a physical controller but if you can purchase a physical one with a LARGE BUTTON I say it’d be 100% worth it. Overall I found the whole concept really frustrating, the setup cumbersome and difficult (but totally doable), and the payoff unsatisfying, so paying $200 for the ability to read off the screen something I can just say, is a half-baked idea that had some great intentions behind it. But in the end it didn’t save me time. The device does work, the text is readable- I can’t fault the teleprompter but!!! It’s still very hard for me to implement and use it. So it probably would be a 4 star for device itself but overall I’m disappointed with the whole idea of using a teleprompter. I decided to keep the device just in case, but I’m not using it in my videos. There are no apps out there to make it natural - even though I paid woo boo bucks and tried out several of the best ones! It’s just not for me. I may purchase a physical controller and give it another try. The device itself was sturdy enough although very complicated, like a failed science experiment. The cover with a string doesn’t work very well - in essence you need to have a non-zoom lens because it’s just so heavy and blocks the lens from moving. I was still able to find a good loose position where they didn’t touch, but beware, your camera won’t work at all when lens are blocked. This cover also has a tendency to just fall off and it’s cheap and clumsy. I really wanted to love and appreciate it but I just can’t - very difficult to use, very time consuming, and to me just not worth the hassle.

economical, and works well. Have used it weekly for a year with no issues.

Solid and well made, with a well designed padded carry case for safe portability. This unit is very easy to assemble and has a large screen but unfortunately will only accommodate a DSLR camera, not a smartphone for recording purposes. As such I had to return it. It would be VERY easy for the manufacturer to retool the camera support plate and blackout hood so this teleprompter could be used for both DSLR and smartphone recordings, and I very much hope this will be done.

I did not receive a remote control with my purchase. I don’t know if it was an oversight or what. The product works otherwise. I purchased a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse because I had no other way of controlling the feed. It’s great for my radio show.
