I wanted to love this but...
Unit was flimsy and consistently a couple numbers off. My aunt who is on oxygen 24/7 decided to keep it as a back up only because the others take batteries. I would not buy again

Works great and so easy to use and charge
This came in an excellent little card case as well. The charge lasts long enough I can't even tell you how long! You can change the direction of the display by a touch of a button, which is handy if you change the hand of the finger you're testing. It appears also to be extremely accurate with both pulse and O2 level.

Learning curve
I'm in EMS and the reason I got this is that my partner of the day lost my previous pulse-ox.The asymmetrical design dose make it fall off of moving fingers easier, best to just have the pt rest their hand on something like their lap. charging works easily via USB-C, battery can last me 2-3 days or about 12-15 patients if left on for a 15-20 minute transport. The accuracy is where you need to be careful because it will take 20-30 seconds for your first numbers to appear and they are wrong and always low for spo2 by 5-10%, for the real reading you need to wait a full minute or more.Your best bet to make full use of this pulse-ox is to get it on early, leave it there while assessing pt and come back to it later. Just remember treat the patient not the machine. After further use I have found it will not work with fingernails exceeding 1".

Does NOT work outside
I bought this for indoor use, as the BBC recommended regular oximeter readings as a way to catch Covid early. It arrived at my doorstep 5 days ago and the packaging made this look like a very sharp, neat, and professional product.Immediately upon opening the package and observing the device, I noticed that the plastic was severely scuffed on one side, as if someone had dropped it with some significant momentum onto concrete or asphalt. This has lead me to strongly believe that this is NOT a condition-new oximeter. Further review of the product's page here on Amazon shows that there is no guarantee that the product bought would be new. So, I am 99.9% certain that I received a refurbished (and still slightly albeit cosmetically damaged) unit. Either that, or their Quality Control simply doesn't care about superficial damage. Regardless, I am deducting 1 start from my review for this alone. The other two stars are deducted for a pretty significant issue with the device's function. It straight up does not work outside under moderately-bright sunshine. For the past 5 days, I've been using it indoors with no problem. In fact, when it works, it's great! There's a visual graph showing your pulse along with all the numbers that you would expect from a pulse-oximeter. However, on two separate occasions today (separated by a couple of hours), this device proved to simply not work when exposed to sunlight. I live on the coast of California and it has been somewhat overcast/foggy all day. I tried using it in my local supermarket's parking lot, and the device simply refused to acknowledge that there was even a finger in it, displaying flatline metrics and quickly returning to its powered-down state. Worked fine inside the store. Later, while out for a walk, I tried it again outside and again it failed to register the presence of my finger. And again, after returning home and trying it inside, the thing works fine.So... if you're looking for a pulse-oximeter for your indoor activities (at home, inside a gym, etc), I'd say that this is a pretty good product. If you're looking for something you expect to use outside, however, this is NOT FOR YOU.Finally, this product is made in China, which is something I didn't consider when I hit that "Buy Now" button. This alone would have been enough to keep me from buying it if I had realized beforehand. No use crying over spilt milk now; but if you are conscious about that sort of thing, consider seeking out a different brand.

Weak hinge
I recently ordered this device, decided to go with this device due to the fact that it had a rechargable battery. Definitely a bonus considering how often you may have to replace batteries in other similar devices with frequent use. Upon receiving the device, in the mail, I was very eager to get it fully charged to see just how well it actually worked. Once I had it charged up I tried it out on myself and the reading came back very quickly which I was very pleased with. It's not too hard to figure out how to operate to switch between modes and views which again very pleased with that. On the downside though, the hinge for your finger placement seems very weak maybe it just so happened to be mine based on the fact that no one else seems to have mentioned that in their reviews but I'm afraid that with frequent use this hinge may eventually snap all together. I don't really want to return this item due to the fact that it is rechargable so I'm going to see if there is a way to maybe tighten the hinge so it doesn't seem as weak, but if it doesn't appear like there is any way to reenforce the hinge I very well may be sending it back. Therefore the weak hinge is the reason I'm rating this at 3 stars.
