Jumbo Sized & Useful
For a muslin blanket, these were a jumbo size. The coloring and pattern is consistent with picture. I use these to block sunshine that comes through while out on stroller-walks, which is sufficient enough for those few moments the sun hits at odd angle. Muslin fabric is lightweight, so allows a breeze to flow through as well. I assume they would be handy to block sneezes and inquiring fingers from strangers at the mall too.

which is a great blanket to use during the hotter days
When I received the blankets, it had a strange smell and it didn't go away until 3 washes later. As a swaddle, it was tough to wrap around my baby and hold it's shape. We're using the blanket for baby during tummy time and he loves looking at the bee and sun. We also use it to drape over his car seat to block the sun. The cotton muslin is thin and breathable, which is a great blanket to use during the hotter days. As a blanket, it's a great buy but as a swaddler, I would choose another brand.

Love These Swaddle Blankets
I am definitely a swaddle blanket hoarder, I just love them so much. We live in Hawaii so they are perfect for every day blankets for my 3 year old and 11 month old. These blankets are made with 100% organic cotton muslin which makes them so soft and very light weight, but yet warm. I love that with each wash cotton muslin becomes softer. With my first child I just used the basic receiving blankets and with my second I decided to try out the cotton muslin and haven't looked back since. They are just so soft and cozy compared to the other kind of receiving blankets. The prints on both blankets are simple and cute and don't look to childish. I love the big size of this blanket, it is 47 x 47 inches and perfect for kids of all ages, I also like using these blankets for myself. Since these blankets are very light weight and breathable they can be used for multiple things such as a blanket, car seat cover and nursing cover. Great for swaddling young babies and using them as blankets for older babies and kids to cuddle with. Not a blanket you have to worry about when using in a crib, bed or pack and play since the material is very breathable. If you are on the fence about what kind of swaddle blankets to purchase for your new bundle of joy, look no further. Such cheerful, bright designs that could easily be used for baby boy or girl!
My baby is 7 months old now, but when she was born in May of last year it was too hot to swaddle wrap her in most traditional cotton blankets. I was so very glad for the 'invention' of these thin muslin cotton blankets because I could still wrap her or cover the carseat and not worry about her being too hot! Even though it is winter now, I still use these thin muslin blankets for many things like a cover-up while nursing, because they are so large and soft. I especially love how cute the printed little yellow fish and red bear are on this set of blankets. I did notice that once I took both blankets out of the box they had a strange, odd smell to them. But after putting them thru the regular wash cycle with my laundry, the smell was gone and the muslin fabric was even softer! So that makes it an even better win-win there! The box is labeled 'girls box' but in my opinion they could easily boy used for a boy as well. They would make a perfect and thoughtful baby shower gift for a new expectant mother-to-be.
