The shield hero and his companions are in a new world. This volume opened up new plotlines without closing the ones started in the previous few volumes. It appears the shield hero will be working with the sword hero for awhile as they sort out the challenges in this new world with new and old companions joining them.

I knew it!! Just from seeing the cover, I knew that they're going to meet Naofumi's predecessor.... and it was a surprise to know the reason behind the notorious nickname "shield demon." 😂 I am so looking forward for the next volume!!

this is simply incredible and i hope you make much more. i don't really like the concept of two shied heroes but this book it too good.

Obviously I am a fan and will continue reading,but this new plot line is a bit strange to be getting here. Anyways I'm still here for this and it's not being executed badly so let's go

We witness Naofumi and the gang all travel to the past and man does it open things up for the future. No pun intended. We get to meet some ancestors/predecessors and it’s interesting to learn more about the history that was lost to our heroes in the future. Hopefully we get to learn more about the one behind the waves and the team possibly learns some tips and tricks to getting stronger quicker that they can take back to their own time.

This entire volume was full of stuff not seen in the webnovel. Such has been the case for other volumes in the series. The overall effect the new content has on the story is what really piques my interest however. Can't wait to read the next one.
