Generac 76711 GP1200i 1200 Watt Portable Inverter Generator, Orange and Black

Little generator worked great. Completed break in process. No hiccups. Drained / changed oil and went to run with load. One pull on cord and it snapped off inside generator. I pulled the cord a grand total of 8 times (1st start, 1st hour, oil change, 2nd hour, oil change) and it broke. Since I had it one day and had not even registered with Generac, I called Amazon and they immediately made a replacement order and sent labels to return defective unit. Amazon again proves they take care of customers pretty darn well. Hopefully I just got a lemon unit for the first one. Will update after second one arrives. Past the pull cord everything else was impressive especially for the price point and name brand.Update (10/25/2020)Received the replacement from Amazon.Completed break in / No issuesAfter second oil change, cleaned spark plug and starts up every time on second pull. No binding of cord. Time will tell, but happy especially for the Prime Deal (a little more than half the current price) I was able to get. Thank you to Amazon for making this right with a quick replacement. Will update on performance. Upgrade to 4 stars from 1 due to initial quality control issues.Update 10/28/2020Upgrading to full five stars. Little gen has saved us. Bought this for other intentions, but recent ice storm has had us without power for 3 days and counting. Has ran with zero issues. Powering full size fridge, standup freezer, 55” tv, charging phones, and lights in house (all leds) Could not be more pleased. Getting about the stated 5 1/2 to 6 hours a tank as stated. Using nonethanol and synthetic 10w30.

The media could not be loaded.  I love that is quiet enough to have a regular conversation without raising your voice. It is very portable, has all kinds of uses, emergency, tailgating, camping, etc!!!

We purchased this generator for a week of camping and airshow festivities. As a portable generator newbie, I was unaware that I needed to buy oil. It's a good thing I didn't pull a complete guy move and throw away the manual. Yes, ladies. I actually read the manual. I know, I'm a rare breed.Everything was packaged quite well in the box. Once we got everything situated with petroleum liquids, we were good to go. We did unsuccessfully attempt to power an electric skillet with our new generator. However, that was due to our ignorance of how many amps are required to power such an appliance.For other things, such as charging our electronic devices, it worked flawlessly. I'm sure it would work well for powering outdoor lighting when needed. If it says Generac on the side, don't hesitate to hand over the cash.

I've always want to buy a generator for camping but have never wanted to be the *person* with the cheapo special model that everyone in the entire campground can hear running.I bought this one after researching quite a bit and seeing one of their other models in a consumer magazine with good ratings. On my first trip out with it this generator performed flawlessly. I bought a large plastic tub and some metal drip pan sheet metal to line it for a soundbox for it. It's quiet to begin with but putting it in a box makes it even more so.So far so good, obviously that could change over time but at the moment I'd recommend this generator. Just make sure to also buy some oil (doesn't come with it) and some fuel stabilizer to help prevent problems with the ethanol in our gas.

Bought this to replace a 23 lb"Sportsman" generator for my sailboat. It's 10 lbs heavier but easier to lug than my Honda EU2000i which weighs 53 lbs with gas in it. It weighs 33 lbs and the inside looks identical to a Honda. There is a drain on the carburetor to empty the float valve chamber after use. The sportsman used a diaphragm carb and the residual gas ruined it. I will use the generator to recharge my 400 amp hour battery bank thru the 100 amp inverter charger. At 8.3 amps output, I can charge at 80 amps @ 13.8 volts so 1 fill on the generator will do. WARNING: never use a generator in a confined space or while people are sleeping. Use a CO monitor also. The wind can push the CO back into the cabin if you are tied at a dock.

Love this generator. I use this almost daily and it works like it should. Only thing I don't care about it, it takes alot of pulls to get started.

I bought it to charge batteries in my travel trailer and it works great. Nothing fancy about this generater, it's lightweight and quiet and it did the job for me. Be careful filling the oil the dipstick provided doesn't work very well so it's easy to overfill and drip oil all over the inside of the generator, I did this and oil dripped out of the bottom of the generator for a couple days. I fell much better spending $350 for this as apposed to $1000 on a Honda

I use this for DJing where there's no power runs really well with my system it doesn't have all the wattage I need but it still works well.
