Although not advertised as such, these have carbide cutting edges. They work great! Oddly, only the 40mm bit has a 3/8 inch round shank. All the larger sizes have an 8.75mm (approx. 11/32 inch) hex shank.With sufficient down force, these bits cut quickly. I used them with a handheld drill motor and there was no vibration or chattering like you get with a spade bit.

Better than "you get what you pay for" quality, so it's a great value. I've bought some cheap crap bits on here and these don't overheat nearly as much. Still, be wary of overheating and they'll hold their edge.

I bought these for my son as a gift. He has use a couple bits and says they cut well. His only complaint is that they come in individual boxes rather than a box that would contain all 5 bits.

As soon as they arrive, they put them to good use. I have no problem with them at all. They did their job well

Tried with two different bits, on soft wood, different speeds if the drill and press drill... and they burned wood instead of cutting it. To make a cut, the pressure needed is incredible high, and it will make the wood smoke. No way to make a hole holding the wood with the hands, that's a huge hazard (it will bit the wood and then spin it)Not even worth it to be used in a press drill.Maybe I got a bad batch that had them dull? No idea, returning them and see if the seller has anything to say. I will review this review if anything changes.

I purchased the bits to use on a wood lathe. While they do work, they are certainly not optimal. The bits don't cut quickly and cleanly, they are prone to overheating and require a slow and patient approach to drilling. Sharpening the bits improved their performance somewhat, but they still don't function as well as I had hoped. With that said, they do get the job done..mostly, and the price was exceptional. You do get what you pay for, and these will serve until finances allow an upgrade. In the interest of full disclosure, I have not tried the bits in a drill press.

Good value for the investment

They were cheap and I didn't know any better because these are a little too rough when it comes to trying to sell a hole in something really nice because they like to catch and move your wood before they will cut and I have had some messed up holes with these?

It specifically says to use with a drill press, but that wasn't my application. I had to semi-drill an installed door. Not great results, terrible actually. There has to be better made large bits out there, but I bought these for the lower price and the fact that I wouldn't use them often. I would not buy this if you are using a hand drill.

Me gusto el filo lo probé en madera algo dura y corto muy fácilmente espero el filo se mantenga por buen tiempo.

Me llego el producto en perfectas condiciones, a pesar de que se tardo un día o dos de lo estipulado, de ahí en fuera todo perfecto con el producto 👍
