What is the diameter of the two egg cooking areas?

It's about a 3" diameter. If you've had an egg mcmuffin, that's basically what you get with these. It's great for when I want an egg sandwich.

Do you think it would be possible to cook a hamburg in this ?

For cooking a hamburg you can choose the Maconee Micro sandwich maker. This Maconee microwave egg maker inner height is not enough for a hamburg.

Will you be able to have a runny yoke? I like the runny yoke

Yes, it is available. to get a runny yoke effect you need to shorten the microwave time. for example, preheat the egg cooker in the microwave and put eggs, and microwave for 2 mins. Can't tell you the exact cooking time for the runny yoke effect, because the cooking time will vary depending on the power of the different microwaves. so you need to have several trials to find the best cooking time for your microwave to get your desired result! Hope it is helpful

will this rotate in a microwave with a 10" plate?

Yes, it will rotate in a microwave with a 10" plate
