Watermelon Party

I bought this book because I'm a follower and support of Rocky Ridge Refuge. It's a very cute and simple story with great illustrations. It stars actual residents of Rocky Ridge and your kids can look up the various animals on Rocky Ridge's FB site and website. There are capybaras, tortoises, wallabies, zebras, donkeys, geese, fawns, kitties, dogs and puppies (especially Bull Terriers). This can be a fun and interactive book to share while highlighting this fabulous rescue organization!

A very cute book with an awesome storyline. My daughters first birthday was watermelon themed. We got this book to have guests sign and leave her a note instead of bringing cards.

This book is absolutely wonderful. I bought it for my mom for Christmas because she loves animals, and she loved the sweet story and animations.

This book is a wonderful story for children and adults to enjoy. What is even better is that the purchase of this book helps Rocky Ridge Refuge care for their many rescues animals. You can look up the rescue online and learn even more about all of the different animals there and teach your children the importance of love and kindness to all creatures!

Have bought this for my grandkids to read in support of the wonderful work done by Rocky Ridge Refuge. The book is well written and beautifully presented by the artist. It is a vivid representation of life at RRR and I highly recommend it to everyone!

I was one of the original donors for the publication of this book. I am so enchanted by it that I am buying another copy for a therapy dog that does "read to the dog" events at the local library.Update: The "Paws to Read" therapy dog took his copy to the Hartford Public Library where the staff was so enchanted by the story that they ordered a copy for every branch in the system. The message of friendship and sharing between very different animals is universal and beautifully done.

If you don't follow this refuge on Facebook, you don't know what you are missing. This little book is a delight and honors these special animals.

My 5yo loves all the different animals and the story in very cute. He also likes looking at photos of the real animals from Rocky Ridge Rescue.
