The Nature of Yosemite: A Visual Journey

I gave the Yosemite picture book to my granddaughter as a birthday gift. Her and her husband got married there in 2022. Her as well as her husband loved the book !

Terrific book- beautiful photos. If you are thinking about purchasing it, do. You won't regret it.

I bought the book at the gallery in Yosemite Valley…. it’s such a beautiful book I can’t help but to leave a review here to honor the work here.I bought it thinking I want to have some photos to remember how stunning it was to visit Yosemite. When I am back in the city living, going through hectic modern life…. I can go back to this book for visual meditations.The beautiful writings is truly a wonderful surprise. The foreword by John Muir Laws reads like poetry. The other writings by Robb and 13 other contributing writers on various topics (eg the biology, geology of Yosemite) was beyond just factual description of the splendid Yosemite. You can sense the love of nature through the writings. They are words coming from the heart, not just from the brain. It’s incredibly soothing to read.I am so glad I bought this book. I can imagine reading it over and over again to help take me back to the magical place.

Yosemite National Park is one of the brightest gems on the planet. This delightful volume of photography by Robb Hirsch does a remarkably fine job of displaying the beauty and wonder of this special place. Accompanied by superb essays by various experts in their fields, this book is a wonder to behold. I have wandered the Yosemite Sierra for more than half a century and Robb's book is the next best thing to being there.

Lovely book but not quite what I needed
