Don’t count on any of this being useful in an actual survival situation...or any situation for that matter. Right out of the box, the compass doesn’t work. There are two whistles (one on the wristband/compass, and one on the spoon/fork) neither of which make much of an audible noise (I can whistle with my mouth at least twice as loud). The flashlight...doesn’t work. The pen...doesn’t work. If you open the box, good luck getting it all to fit back in. Not even close. It’s packed so tightly that it springs open and the contents go everywhere. Save yourself the money and headache. Hard pass.

I like this kit. It has a multitude of various survival items that I hope to never need. This has secured itself a spot in my survival bug-out bag. The knife is very sharp, the paracord bracelet is super convenient (especially with the built-in whistle), and the multiple different fire-starting implements are very cool. I had a bit of trouble closing the casewith all the stuff inside but it eventually did close. Very sturdy carrying case.

A must have in any bug out bag or camping kit. I keep mine in the center console and am going to get one for my wife’s car as well. The few redundancies in the kit (multiple fire starters, tinder ropes, knives) are so essential to any emergency or survival kit that it wouldn’t make sense NOT to have multiples. Everything is of quality make (even if not American) and the knives came sharp. Great value.

We haven’t opened this yet, as it is a gift for Xmas. Once the gift has been given I will return to update the review. Until then I am giving this item a neutral review. To be honest I am solely reviewing this item for an amazon credit.

Gave this as a gift and wow was it fun for my brother and family to go through all the items in the kit and understand how to use. Very pleased with the quality and size. Only thing I would add is a little handout or manual similar to the listing picture. Note the listing picture states that something is a safety pin and it is definitely not.

take everything you need for a survival kit, and pack it into a box the size of a paperback book.damn near everything is a multi-tool.the ONLY thing it don't do; strap itself to your leg.no less then two fire starters and three whistles

I like this, I keep it in my truck. I used a few things out of it when my truck broke down. My only minor complaint was the flashlight doesn’t work at all. But it’s not a big deal I have one on my phone. I like the variety of stuff it comes with. The knife came in handy to cut a hose off that was already breaking. It also had bandaids in it that helped me too.

Went for hike and had a problem finding my way back to the path . Used a few items in pack (poncho ,knife and compass)Lucked out and had food.Found my way back to path. Moral of story...Bring gps
