For fans
I'll admit I never played the game. I bought this (and the other Jayne's Intelligence Review) because I'm a big Honor Harrington fan. For me, and other fans, these books can provide a usefull visual backup to better understand the battles described in the books. I only wish that there were more updated versions of the Reviews: these stop in the pre-misside dreadnought era. But I still find them very usefull and great fun.

Way out of date.
The book was published this year (2007), but it is very out of date. There is nothing in there that dates past "The Short Victorious War".

An interesting look at the Honorverse
As a non-gamer but fan of the Honorverse I found this book to be a interesting peek at a world I have enjoyed.

Jayne's Intelligence Review - The People's Navy
I love Weber's Honor series and having this as a fun reference is too cool. Helps me visualize som of the descriptions given. Especially the fleet combat engagements.
