CASIO mens G-Shock FROGMAN GWF-A1000-1A2JF Solar Watch (Japan Domestic Genuine Products)

I'm somewhat of a watch snob. Not Rolex tier but Breitling (Seawolf) and Tag Heuer (Aquaracer) tier. The latter is my everyday wearer. The former does get it's share of wrist time though. I love me some "automatic" watches and always looked down on anything with a "battery" even those offered by the aforementioned watch makers. That being said I was obviously well aware of my "automatic's" shortcomings. Both ran a few seconds fast everyday and, sometimes, faster depending on my activity level. There was also that slight annoyance of having a calendar month day of "31" on the watch when some months have less days. So, I was always having to make minor periodic adjustments. Then I started wondering what it would be like having a watch in which "periodic adjustments" were not needed. There are some "automatics" that can come close but all of them are WAY out of my pay scale. So, I started to do a little on-line research on "divers" watches and happened upon this little gem. The "Frogman". Except for the battery it would fit right in with my modest collection (Aquaracer,Seawolf). I decided to order one. I was a little worried that it was coming straight from Japan but my worries were unfounded. The seller shipped promptly, keeping me informed of where they were at in the process, and DHL/USPS did the rest. The watch wound up in my mailbox. I unboxed it and found the set up instructions to be all in Japanese. No worry, I had already downloaded them in English in pdf form. I thought I would be able to "sync" the watch manually but the instructions made my brain hurt. So,after a couple of frustrating hiccups, I was able to install the G-Shock app on my phone. Everything after that was "wind in my sails". Set my time/world time/tide location(Port Aransas). I saw the battery was @1/4 full so I put it out in the Sun for the afternoon. Brought it in. Battery was fully charged. I live within 600 miles of Colorado Springs, where an "atomic clock" is located that sends out an early early morning radio signal. I put my watch on the windowsill when I go to bed and it's on "acre time" all the time. The day/date , despite the month, is spot on. A truly set it and forget it timepiece. Just add Sun shine from time to time. In short I'm extremely satisfied with the watch. It's awesomely amazing. I should have taken the quartz plunge long ago. Still love my Aquaracer though despite all the quirks or maybe because of them.

This watch is packed with features. Would definitely recommend this watch to a Gshock Frogman fan. This is my first Frogman and I'm very happy with this watch. If you like analog, this is the Frogman for you.

Great watch and great price!

Unlike most modern watches where you have to remember a combination of buttons to push, you can just connect the watch to an app on your smart phone, in my case and iPhone, and the time and everything is updated over the phone. Much easier than all other watches I've had.

Amazing addition to my G-SHOCK addiction / collection. Looks even better in person! Great communication from the seller as well. Fast shopping too. Lots of great features and being the Japan Edition it comes with the nice box that the us versions do not. As the first analog frogman it’ll be a great collectors item. This colorway looks great too. Big watch with great complications and movements.

Happy with what I got. Looks manly, yet not very showy. Numbers are easy to see.Just download the app and follows the app to get the time set up.I got small wrist but the style is supposed to be large so it is all good.I don’t care much for diving/tide feature but having it is cool.It seems heavy but comfortable on the wrist. Comfort and looks are my main things. The ability to see it at night is important to me.Overall, great watch. Highly recommended.The message comes with the watch is a nice tough. Hard working people with a nice product deserve 5 stars.

I was not into the idea of a full analog g shock watch But I am really liking this purchase Should last my lifetime

nothing to dislike time was set when it arrived it resets itself when I take it from drawer works for me as a watch courier was a bit of a pain but all is good!
