I just received the product yesterday so have not had a chance to try it out but it gets great ratings. Expect to use to connect my iPad to a projector for teaching.

Good quality material and clean connections and clear streaming capabilities

I was wary about the cost as some of these sorts of adapters approach the $100 mark for reasons inscrutable. I assumed, however, that with all the advanced engineering that went into an iPad that for the nearly grand one of them cost me four years back, the ruddy thing had better have the capability to output a video signal. Thus, I bought this one.I was right, and at least for the iPad Pro I'm rocking, this relatively inexpensive toy lets me not only pipe to an HDMI display, but add a mouse for use--something that iOS used to swear was impossible until people saw support remoting in with obvious mouse control. Now I can do HIIT and injure myself on its own merits, and not just because I'm straining to watch the iFitness instructors on an 11" screen.Picture quality: 120Hz, no problem. It ain't Retina but it ain't gotta be.Charging power: I think this is more on my iPad than the adapter. Four years and they're probably "turning down CPU power to save battery life".Quality of material: It might be aircraft-grade aluminum. It might be plastic. It holds its shape and feels good to handle and to plug things into, and I don't worry what might happen if one of my cats uses it as a toy to bat around.

Everything was great until I tried to use its c port

When travelling I hate the limited selection offered by whatever TV service is used by hotels. I like to connect my tablet to the room's TV using an HDMI cable and watch one of the streaming services that I subscribe to. When I upgraded to an iPad Pro 11 inch I needed this device to connect to the iPad's USB-C port. It works perfectly for this function.

The only complaint I have with this adapter is that I have to have the usb-c plugged in a specific way into my iPad in order for the picture to work on my tv. Not sure if this is a design flaw or if it is specific to the one I got. It’s not a deal breaker. Just a nuisance.

Not as good as the iphone one

When I got this I found out the cable I currently had on my monitor was an odd one so it didn't fit.Luckily for me my monitor had a second input HDMI and I had another cable so It works. I just switch the cables to use for my personal computer as a second screen and put back the original when I need to use it for work.
