Process
I have military injuries to go along with 3 MVA (not at fault) My injuries include but are not limited to L5 total failure, herniation in L4, C2&3. I’ve undergone SI screw fixation fusion procedure that helped me to regain my balance and sturdiness, but has not helped my pain levels much. It is extremely difficult to stay seated but also difficult to move in any way other than walking straight. There are days which I can manage certain types of pain (nerve, disc) through hours of self care, rehab, and therapy- unfortunately that’s when I tend to get severe lower back spasms to go along with the skeletal issues. I am 6’5 and am very active and somewhat fit. I have tried every form of conservatives care through the VA as well as “out of pocket” civilian care. I’ve tried everything from PT to acupuncture to chiropractors to surgeons. I owns theragun & a teeter hang up. I do not like taking prescription pills but the pain was so bad that when I was prescribed gabapentin by the VA I went ahead & tried it. The “medication” did help me get to sleep, but it also slowed down my ability to communicate and gave me neurological issues. By the time I realized the pills were worse than the pain I was already leaning heavily on them to get any sleep at all so it was a challenge to get off of them (I did)I say all of this to try & help that one person desperately searching for key words to help them through their night of pain. This brace can really help. I’ve tried more expensive brands and a few less expensive (not the cheap ones) but I keep coming back to this one. I feel like you have to use it after an adjustment to keep that SI joint in place and allow for retraction. In the meantime, while using the brace, do your rehab exercises and then the rest of your day. Use it for as long as it tapes to strengthen your core muscles (not just your abs) and I believe you’ll see progress. I’m not here to sell magic pills. I’ve been dealing with the wear & tear of military/football/security life for 25 yrs I don’t think I’ll ever be pain free, but the goal is to live at a “3” & I think I can do that with the help of this brace

Amazing! I can stand long enough to cook.
My physical therapist helped pick this out based on my low back pain. I have trouble with my socratic joints and the bottom fewvertebra as well. I also have widespread pain all over my body. This belt has made a remarkable difference in my overall pain level. The first time I put it on, I almost cried from the joy. The pain I have been experiencing in my low back/hips was reduced greatly. I went out for a short walk. I have been able to walk without using my walker in my house pretty regularly. I use the walker to help relieve some of the pain I have in my back, but also need it for other conditions. I also have noticed that I have better posture while I am wearing the belt. I am now able to stand long enough to cook dinner. It's been a long time since I was able to do that.I can't thank the people who designed this enough for giving me part of my life back. This belt fits well and is extremely easy to use. My physical therapist said it wouldn't help me while I am sitting. I have no idea if that comment was only for my particular situation. I loosen it when I get in the car. Once I get out of the car, I tighten it and go. I'm not sure if that is specific to me or to everyone.I have the large size. I'm 5'8" and average build.

Very effective for SI joint instability
Easy to adjust and covers a broader area than other belts. The strap that adjust the laces is very convenient. If I had any problem with it it's that it has a tendency to slide up when worn over pants. Slightly bulky under pants, especially the strap with the ring.

Very helpful device, especially for hypermobile SI joint
I’m not too big on reviews, especially personal ones...but this thing is a life saver for me. I have a connective tissue disorder that leads to hypermobile joints. I get injured all the dang time and have chronic pain. My hips are the worst. I’ve been diagnosed with trochanteric bursitis, sciatica and sacroiliitis. After tons of PT, NSAIDS, steroids and injections. Nothing ever helps much. I recently ended up in urgent care yet again and I found myself stuck in bed with pain looking for help. I stumbled on this and figured it was worth a shot! I’m able to walk and bend with waaaay less pain when I’m wearing it. It’s relatively comfortable for a support device. It slides around if you wear it over clothing, so unfortunately you kinda gotta put in on your skin and squeeze the thickest part of your body. This creates muffin top extraordinaire, but it’s worth it if you’re hurting enough. I’d prefer to be pain free without it...but that doesn’t appear to be my fate.Oh, side note. My measurements fell in between the sizes, I opted for the bigger one thinking it would be better to squeeze it tight, but in hindsight I’d have been better off with the smaller one. This is highly adjustable though.

This one is the answer
I’ve tried many back braces for my lower back pain and this one is the only one that fits perfectly, stays tight and doesn’t ride up. Its profile is also lower so it isn’t coming up your back too far. Highly recommend

Need a smaller size option
My ortho recommended this brace. Just received this today. Easy to put on and feels supportive initially but doesn’t take much for it to slide up around the waist. It could be that in order to get a snug fit, the left strap sits under the right side’s silicone grip, rendering it useless. If the belt came in a smaller size, that wouldn’t be an issue. I was really hoping this brace was worth the price.
