I needed to attach a top to a cabinet I made. I was torn between the figure 8 fasteners and these, so ordered both. I ended up using these for speed and simplicity. The top measures about 2 feet by 6 feet and is solid oak, I used a biscuit cutter set at a #20 biscuit, 7/16" from the top of the cabinet and put the cuts about 1 foot apart in the back and front rails and 2 cuts at each end, using a total of 12 fasteners, After marking the locations, I predrilled each of the screw holes in the top using a 3/32" bit. The hardest part was lying on my back to install the screws. The table top fasteners hold solidly and will allow seasonal wood movement.

These work great for fastening table tops. I use a 16mm for Forstner bit to inlay these fasteners. I definitely will buy again. The price is comparable with other fasteners.

I wanted to put a tabletop on a bench and needed it to float due to the wood expansion and contraction. This was my solution for fastening the tabletop to the frame.

Easy to install using a biscuit jig

Save yourself the 3 bucks and definitely go with these over the Rockler - I've ordered both from Amazon and hands down the screws on these are 100% better than the ones Rockler provides, those stripped on me so easily. Usually that's not a crisis but it's maddening in the tight spaces where you're using these under benches, tables etc.

I made two coffee tables 4ft by 30 inches. I used these to secure the top and provide for expansion. Used my biscuit joiner to cut the grooves. Tops are on. Secure and easy to do.

That's exactly what they accomplish. These magical devices allow you to attach the top of a table or other project with NO visible holes. They are great, and very difficult to find in physical stores.

Try as hard as I did look in local stores, I could not find these fasteners anywhere. When they arrived they were exactly what I was looking for and worked perfectly to complete the recycled wood table I made.

The brackets look sturdy and solid. They will do the job. Also, I don't know if it's always like that but it comes with extra screws (20 brackets, 22 screws) which I thought was a nice touch in case you lose one while installing. My only complaint is that I would have preferred Robertson screw head (or square) but the Phillips head will do. All in all, a good purchase.

What's to say. Worked as expected.

Cut a slot freehand with skill saw (as the pieces were already glued into the table legs for some reason...).Worked well.I suggest pre-drilling and hand tightening the screws in place.

Spent more time searching BigBox stores online, versus "Next Day" from Amazon. These clips do the job, look good (if you are inclined to lay on the floor beneath your table), and the price was right. Screws included !
