Blantex XB-1 Heavy Duty Steel Folding Spring Cot

I purchased this cot to install in the bed of my truck for a sleeping system under my topper. This fit my 2014 Ram 1500 short bed perfectly after cutting the inside leg corner off to fit the wheel well. To the interior bed lip is 72 inches long and this product was exactly as advertised at 71.5 inches. I have slept three times on it now in the past two weeks, with a Thermarest camping mat I slept soundly. No issues with weight bearing or popped springs and is wide enough to accommodate me sleeping in almost any position. I am 6ft even and 225 pounds. My feet touch the frame but it is not noticeable and does not effect my sleep.

Springs are strong! However, the canvas is pulling away from the springs in 2 areas, where the weight is higher.

I camped out a few weeks ago and was forced to sleep on the ground, that was very uncomfortable. I tested the cot once I received it and I think this will make me feel like I'm in my own bed, sorta.

I'm 5'10" and I'm too tall for this cot. This style of cot is rare and I'm sad it won't work.Note: this item is used with a large tear which should have been easily detected.

The springs on this unit tend to come un-hooked but bending the ends rectified this problem. Make sue you have storage space since it's a bit bulky even when folded. Unit is sturdy and a snap to set-up.

Comfortable,but, aluminum frame weak.

Our son used this for a week and said it was comfortable. We did use a foam pad with it. He loved it.
