Everything I wanted and more…
I had been looking at this beautiful amplifier for a couple of years and finally circled back to it. Of all the Chinese Tube Amps available on Amazon, this was for me the best looking and most powerful one, in this price range. So, I finally caved and decided to buy it for myself for Christmas.Firstly, it was delivered earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I set it up and connected my CD-player, my record player and my speakers and the fun could start.Unfortunately I quickly discovered that one of the tubes was bad, which made the sound in one speaker less loud and clear than the other. I emailed customer care and they were extremely eager to help solve the problem. After explaining the problem and giving the specifics of the tube, they didn’t hesitate and immediately sent me a new one, strait from China. All the time keeping in contact and providing me with updates. Very impressive. With the new tube in place, I have about 15 hours in now and I must say I’m amazed. The clarity is amazing. And to repeat a cliche, I hear nuances to songs that I never heard before. Listening to Josh Groban, Al Steward and Pink Floyd, violins, pianos and guitars seem to appear out of nowhere in songs that I’ve been playing for years. What a big concern for me was, if the amp would be powerful enough. Other brands had disclaimers on their product sites, that their tube amp is better suited for high sensitivity (bookshelf) speakers.I have small floor standing speakers, Totem Sky Tower, which have a sensitivity of 88dB. Let me tell you, no worries here. This amp has plenty of power to drive my speakers with ease. And with the “holographic” soundstage the Totems provide, listening to this amp is an absolute pleasure.Long story short: Needless to say I’m a fan. I’m looking forward to hours and hours of listening pleasure. And to repeat another reviewers quote, if you’re on the fence, hop off and pull the trigger on this amazing amplifier. It’s so worth it…

Great buy for the money.
I bought this amp about two months ago for my three Seasons Room and the tubes should be broken in nicely at this point. I have a couple of tube amplifiers and for the money this is a great setup. I was a little worried that it would be underpowered, but it has no problem pushing my 100 watt floor speakers and the sound is superb. Crisp, clear sound and perfect for my vinyls. In addition it looks great. Solid build and feels like a high end unit.

I'm very impressed with the quality and sound.
Excellent quality and sounds great with my Klipsch KG4 speakers with stock tubes, even before break-in. The highs are silky and the bass authoritative. The mids would even make my voice sound good. KG4's are only 94 db sensitivity, and I was worried about power, but this amp can fill a large room with a cathedral ceiling with plenty of volume to spare. One thing to note is this amp has three stereo line-in inputs, so you'll need a turntable with built-in phono preamp or you'll have to add one.I also picked up a 1Mii HiFi Bluetooth 5.0 Music Receiver (to the right of the amp in my picture) to add Bluetooth capabilities. They sound amazing together.

USE A SUBWOOFER / STOCK TUBES LASTED 7 MONTHS
These amplifiers really hold their value over time. Used ones sell for as much as the new ones (when one takes into account the price of new tubes). This amp is really built like a tank, and almost as heavy as a tank too (a good thing)! This has to be one of the cleanest stereo amps that I have ever heard. One downside is the fact that a mere12 watts is not enough power to drive the bass. I highly recommend the use of a powered subwoofer with this amp. A subwoofer is needed to supplement the bass, together they can make great music.ATTENTION YAQIN: if you are reading this, please consider adding fuses to the right and left output channels of the MC-84L. After 7 months of daily use a tube suddenly shorted out and started smoking before I could turn the amp off. This tube directly, or indirectly took out all 4 EL84 power tubes and a 220uf capacitor & 330-ohm resistor. It would appear the quality of the stock tubes could be better. Honestly, there should be a fuse on both the right and left channel outputs, as Yaqin does with their MC-10T model. Nevertheless, the p.c. board of the MC-84L is laid out nicely and is easy to repair. Here is my current Yaqin system: I use a Yaqin MC-10T (40 watts) and my Yaqin MC-84L to power four Polk Audio Studio Monitor 40 Series II speakers. The top speakers are powered by the MC-84L and the bottom speakers are powered by the MC-10T. On the floor in the back is a Klipsch KD-10SW Subwoofer. My sole audio source is my desktop computer, while the monitor is a 4K curved screen. We also have a large inventory of old "Retro" arcade games which use the same Yaqin amps for audio. A 4-channel sub mixer is used to couple the amps and subwoofer on the same audio output.

Fantastic value
I found this amp magical. Piano in particular sounds just right. Cymbals just shimmer with the amp. This is my first tube amp and I purchased it on a whim. I’m glad I did. I’m not sure what I was expecting but this amp looks good. Feels solid to operate. It also weighs more that what I was expecting. Over all I’m very pleased with this purchase. It has power to fill my listening room with sound. The owners manual is printed and to the point. It is just a couple of pages. I listen mostly to jazz and some guitar rock. My preferred volume is rarely over 80db.
