Technically advanced trekking trousers with optimized fit and carefully planned details. Intended for alpine trekking that requires climbing - where mobility is just as important as durability and protection from sharp stones, etc. The rear and knees are pre-shaped and have extra strong seams for this reason. And that is also why the trousers have durable G-1000 Eco on the rear, front of the legs, the knees and on the inside bottom of the legs, which is also reinforced with a double layer of fabric to withstand wear from hiking boots. An extra piece of fabric in the crotch and the placement of the inseams decrease the risk for rubbing. A zippered ventilation opening from knee to hip and along the calf releases excess heat. Two leg pockets, one zippered and the other with a flap and inner mesh pocket for small items. High hand pockets hold their contents even when sitting down. Strap adjustment with buckle into he leg endings and hook to attach to ski or hiking boots.

the Fjallraven Nikki’s Curvey edition and Outdoor Research’s and although I love the utility of the Fjallraven’s
Bought these, the Fjallraven Nikki’s Curvey edition and Outdoor Research’s and although I love the utility of the Fjallraven’s, Outdoor research fit better than eventhe Nikki Curves ones by Fjallraven. This is because the OR ones have these elastic waist cinching adjustmenters which allow to clinch down the waist for the perfect fit.. I’m a big booty girl with a small waist and the fjallravens just aren’t built for us, even their curvier build doesn’t quiet get you there. If you have a straight boys frame waist than the fjallravens will be fine, but if you’re curvier with a small waist you won’t be as comfy. I do love the quality and the pockets though, just wished they fit better especially for the price.

The Keb ---> The Best!
Every time I order from this company, I find myself one happy hiker!I go hiking frequently on my days off, and when I order I want my things...like now! But I won't pay for fast shipping, nevertheless I always get what I order fast from backcountry, I love this company.The Keb---> The Best!This is my third pair of fjallraven, and I find they are always true to size. I wear a 10 normally but in these I find I want a size 12 or rather 42. (PRana I wear 8-10) (Northface is all over the place with pants, so I won't go there) but, these are not to lose, never to tight. This allows for movement up hills. The Keb trousers will be the ones that I will I re-order if something should happen, God forbid. Because these are the best for hiking. Gosh, look at the material placement....look closely, the hip and buttock are more like my running pants, how cool is that.....breathable and smart!P.S.The color Tarmac is gorgeous in person, it's like a medium brown mixed with military green sort of blend ;-)

Durable AND Flexible!
These pants are wonderful! However I just got them and have not taken them out to the field. The previous review stated that they run narrow and small, which I concur. I ordered one size too large and they fit perfectly! At least for the way I want them to fit, if you are going to use these pants with layers I would suggest two sizes larger than you would normally order.As for the pants, the dark material is a thin, well ventilated stretchy material. If you move around a lot and get annoyed with how constricting most hiking pants are then you'll really like these. I have found that when you get comfortable/flexible pants, you sacrifice durability. With these that's not the case.

DIFFICULT SIZING
So, I wanted to LOVE these pants. They're made of a great fabric and have all the features I want in a trekking pant, making them more than worth the cost. I usually wear a size 14US in slacks. I ordered these pants in a size 46 (after looking at multiple websites).The pants measure 36" at the waist, and 42" at the hip (making them impossible on me, even with the bit of stretch the fabric has) In fact, the legs are so narrow, I couldn't even get the pants up over my thighs.So, if you're pretty straight, these pants may work for you. Curvy girls, look elsewhere, or else order larger to accommodate hips and get the waist taken in.

I wanted to love the pants
I wanted to love the pants: fantastic quality in the workmanship. Unfortunately, I'm a "tweener" size. The 36 was a bit more snug than I'd like for the function of the pant, but I was swimming in the 38. I"m 5'7", 120 lbs. athletic build, typically a 4 in Athleta, Royal Robins, Prana, etc. THE REAL REASON FOR THE 1 STAR: the company the pants shipped from, "ShoppingBlitz" will not pay for return shipping, despite the banner on their website, "Easy & Free Returns". BOOOO!

Two Stars
Returned as my wife hated the cut, which is, to be fair, not the most flattering.
